  1. Are you still going on Sunday? BB *Matchbox BEC nearly done, BTW... * Edited by - Badger Bill on 12 Sep 2003 10:15:24
  2. L for a single upshift one, you looking at about a 1/4 lb of the ol' Kola Kubes For an all singing, all dancing, ignition cutting, gear displayed, fandango, charliefied, version, about a whole lb of the stuff... 😳 BB
  3. T As it is looking to be a BEC, fancy trying out a kwikshift setup on a QR Steerywheel? BB Edited by - Badger Bill on 11 Sep 2003 13:40:04
  4. Cheers [runs along office corridor with seven along the wall] Nieowwwwwww [/stops running along office corridor with seven along the wall] Humm *looks at the flared arches, screen and plastic tyres and start planning upgrades* *idea*Fancy going halves, there is space in my garage to keep it... 😬
  5. B BB 😬 PS Hello shedders *smile*Vorsprung Dürch Leichtigkeit
  6. edmandsd, It's clear that some people don't know of you... *smile* BB *smile*Vorsprung Dürch Leichtigkeit
  7. Graham, jwyatt, Thanks for both the lead and the advice. I've phoned Caterham, they've got 3 A021's and are checking on a delevery for tomorrow... Fingers crossed. Thanks for the warning of the 539's, close thing, I'd nearly placed the order! If they are unsucessful on the delevery front I might be in need of the 'loft two' yet! Thanks again BB
  8. Graham, Yes, the quote is for 60's. The diff has just been changed so that I could get 10mph per 1000rpm in top with 185 x 60 x 13's. The old ones are 175 x 70's but all tyres are from the ark and have all the grip of bambi on ice 😳 Unfortunatley I need all four changed and certainly within 6weeks... ☹️ Thanks for the offer of the 'Loft two' but at the moment I think that I will be trying either the yoko 539's or the AvonCR500's. Shame that there are not any 60profile 21's available. Just got to check the ol' resources and clear it with the manager ☹️ Cheers for your offer, agian, though. Most kind. BB
  9. Hoopy, Do you have a number where I can get CR500's for 75quid. Both Bookatrack and George Polley quoted over 90quid... (175 x 55 x 13) The A021's were quoted at 60quid undelivered or fitted... (185 x 60 x 13) Do you lot know something that I don't on this tyre aquisition business? Cheers for the advice, very much appreciated. BB
  10. Yup, tried him first after reading the archives since they have been made available again. Crackin' fella, but reckoned that there will not be any available for six weeks... If I have another week like last I won't be here by then... ☹️ Then tried Bookatrack's tyre arm, again plenty of advice and gave me loads of time on the phone, but ultimately I'm left with the same questions... 🙆🏻 This is my only driver so needs to be well planted and I am willing to spend, but not if it is unnecessary. Thanks for the quick reply 😬 BB
  11. I know that it has been done to death already, but I have to make a rapid decision and I need top advice from the likes of Hoopy and Angus&Tessa. What are the tyres for everyday grippy driving during the wet English winter? I cannot find A021r's so it would seem from previous postings that either Yoko A539's are a possibility or CR500's. The main difference between the two is that a set of four CR500's cost over 200gbp more than the Yokos... And I can only get CR's in 55 profile loosing me precious centimeters of clearance. Current car/tyre spec is Blade engined, 450kg(ish), 175 x 70 x 13's & Mag Alloys (ford escort pattern) Thanks BB
  12. It sounds a lot similar to this further up the page here Dare say it doesn't, but I hope it helps. BB
  13. A cheap and quick option is a bike engine. Done properly this can offer some stunning performance for very little cash. Get rid of as much excess as possible then go looking for a complete setup, electrics and all. The mounts have already been sorted by various people and after that you are on your way to cheap quick motoring. Probably a total install cost of about 1500quid (not including rad, but a fiesta ally one does the job nicely) It has to be worth a laugh! Good luck! BB
