  6. The Optimate(/Accumate) connector is, or is very very similar to, a Tamiya R/C battery pack connector. It has a small plastic clip which mechanically holds the two parts together when connected. moomin www.megabird.co.uk

  8. yes I've already seen the date on the thread... Steve is great welder. he made the exhaust for my car, and I sat and watched him do the fitting for a few hours - ok he's a brilliant welder! I'm actually off to visit him tomorrow with a fuel tank and an oil tank for him to modify for me. Ooooo spooky, looking back at my build diary, it was 18th August 2004 that I was at Steves getting the exhaust fitted ❗ moomin www.megabird.co.uk
  9. the short answer is yes, you will need a cat to get through emissions. I would be very surprised if you are able to crank the mixture down enough to pass. you can rent-a-cat from people like The Kit Car Workshop.
