  1. If you don't mindme asking, what is with the yellow decals on the exhaust heat shield. Do all JPE's have them 🤔
  2. Twasnt you then I am affraid ☹️ Hopefully the chav with the yellow dials will be along shortly 😬 😬
  3. A nice looking dark blue Roadsport. I was one of the hundreds of bikers coming back from Silverstone yesterday and followed you for a while Edited by - Alexander Gurr on 20 Sep 2006 13:41:56
  4. Another for the 6 speeder
  5. Bike engine oil needs to be different because it is used in the wet plate clutch. Using car oil is a really bad idea. As Adam says, I would use the oil recommended by the bike manufacturer in the first place
  6. I seem to remember that each rear tyre is £1,500 *eek*
  7. Outside the Horse Shoe, a green 7 with yellow nose and a jill judd half hood. Sorry, I didn't catch the registration despite the car being parked - I was very drunk
  8. A friend of mine built an R1 engined Dax with (mechanical) paddle gear shift. He took me out for a spin and it was absolutley fantastic. The thing that got me was the induction roar under accelleration and the pops and bangs from the exhaust on the overun - they simply sound fantastic. 9. If you get stuck, pop the bonnet and give the wires going into the starter a wiggle. It is a temporary solution, but often creates a connectin to allow you to start the car again (just be wary of those hot manifolds 😳 ) Superlight no 46 12,000 areroscreen'd miles in 18 months
  10. Sorry mate, just read the above. I am almost 100% sure the issue is as per Normans first post Superlight no 46 12,000 areroscreen'd miles in 18 months
  11. Andy, This used to happen to me every now and again. One of the wires going into the starter got hot (as it was so close to the exhaust primaries) and the solder fractured exposing the contact. When the car got hot the wire would often break contact and not deliver the power to the starter from the battery. Since getting the work done at the 7 workshop the car stopped doing it, but it sounds like the old problem has crept in again. I think your best bet is to replace the wire (sorry, I can't remember which one it was). I certainly dont think it ring gear. Superlight no 46 12,000 areroscreen'd miles in 18 months
  12. On my old car the popper for the half doors and tonneau sat just in front of the dash rail. It left very little room for the rivet head to expand, but seemed to hold OK. Can you move the door forward 1/2 an inch 🤔 Superlight no 46 12,000 areroscreen'd miles in 18 months
  13. Tony - the car looks fantastic, what a great achievement A friend of mine has just finished building an R1 engined Dax. He took me out for a spin the other day and I was seriously impressed. The things that struck me were the noise and the ferocity of the paddle shift gear change (in his case a direct mechenical linkage). It really was something else, so I am sure you will have fun with yours 😬 Superlight no 46 12,000 areroscreen'd miles in 18 months
  14. Silver with Orange stripe. I was on my bike looking over enviously at you. I would have come and had a chat, but it looked like you were ready to blat off down the 507. Hope you had a good one
  15. On Saturday a yellow T reg 7 heading over the military range near Bovingdon (sp?) roof up at about 6pm. On Monday a Blue T reg 7 heading away from Weymouth at about 12pm On Monday a Blue 7 parked up in a layby heading towards the M27 with the driver obviously stopping for a wizz 😬 😬 How I miss my 7 ☹️ ☹️ Superlight no 46 12,000 areroscreen'd miles in 18 months
  16. Anyone here It sounded like he had sports pipes on it - what a noise. You could hear it over a mile away 😬 😬 Superlight no 46 12,000 areroscreen'd miles in 18 months
  17. Jason, I have A048 175's all round on my Superlight. The car is fantastically neutral when set up like this, but is giving me less grip than when I had A032's. I have tried to get A032's again, but they seem to be long dead for 13" rims ☹️ 175 A048's all round would get the from me 😬 Superlight no 46 12,000 areroscreen'd miles in 18 months
  18. Guys, My exhaust (4-2-1 competition jobbie) has started to rattle. It is not blowing, but appears to be the where the 4 branch exhaust connects to the 4-2-1 pipe into the silencer. Is this common and do you have any idea what I may need to do to cure it 🤔 Cheers, Alex
  19. Nope John, not you I was after. It was John Caldicott I was looking for Superlight no 46 12,000 areroscreen'd miles in 18 months

  21. Price now reduced 😬 Superlight no 46 12,000 areroscreen'd miles in 18 months
  22. Guy, Are you going down the bike route 🤔 I still haven't heard from James about buying his car back 😬 He isn't still driving that German pimp mobile is he 🤔 😬 So as not to hijack - have a BTT on me Superlight no 46 12,000 areroscreen'd miles in 18 months
