Have you checked to make sure the breather in the axle is clear. If this is blocked you will build up pressure in the Diff when you use the car also when there are temperature differences the same pressure build up can happen. This would have the effect of pushing the oil out through the seal.

Body Chassis Unit Brand new chassis all bare aluminium has been powder coated with the exception of the inside of the boot which has been wax oiled. Painted in Rover Tahiti Blue pearlescent paint. The chassis has been etch primed ,primed, base coated then lacquered also the paint has been plastisized to prevent cracking. All new fibreglass wings and nose cone have been fitted and painted also stone chip protection on the under side of the wings. New lights all round new windscreen etc all powder coated satin black. Concerning the rear brake wear being uneven on the live axle car, A good place to start is to remove the drums and check to make sure the wheel cylinder is free to slide as this is very important in this setup. The wheel cylinder has only one piston and the force is distributed via the piston sliding on the back plate, If this is seized up you will only get brake effect on on shoe. Also check to make sure the piston is not seized in the side that is not wearing out the shoe's Regards Flick

Have you fitted a K & N air filter or have you reffited it and Tightened it up to much and deformed the throttle Body causeing the butterfly to stick . The throttle body is only made of plastic on the 1.6 K so this is quite easy to do. Regards Flick

One of the common problems is that the bearing on the half shaft is just located by a press fit (Interferance).I think it might be possible to re engineer this area. You know if you have this problem because when you jack the rear off of the ground you can pull a rear wheel out and push it back in by approx 10mm. The half shaft/wheel ass will not fall out as there are inbuilt measures to stop this happening.If a rear bearing was to let go then you could loose the assembly.
