  1. Seen going north on A38 between Tewkesbury and Worcester. Traffic meant the 7 couldn't get away from us (in our Skoda). I so enjoyed following missed my turn off to Malvern.
  2. In the Porsche Experience Car Park: White with blank nose cone and green strips
  3. Saturday 0800 4 7s heading presumably for the Fish and Chip run. We were en route to Silverstone (in a Skoda). Now in stand opposite pits being snowed on! Best wishes to all on F&C run

  5. I've done over 10k miles with my 1.8 8v. As with an earlier cross flow, I've never noticed any problem with the 40s. The 1.8 8v has been on a rolling road to try and sort out a timing issue. At the same time carbs were checked and jets adjusted but not, as far as I can recall, radically. I suggest its a case see how it goes and if OK leave alone.
  6. 0933 at the Red Lion on the A36 south of Bath. Seen in silhouette so couldn't make out colour or registration.
  7. Re the £400 sump on Ebay, QED offer a cast wet sump at £155 with a baffle plate at £24.
  8. My 8v sump was removed (and repaired) by Millwood with engine in situ. Can't tell you how they did it. We also had problems with cat's eyes. Sorted with new shocks and springs.
  9. 64 reg, Brown(?) with black stripe. On a trailer towed by blue Transit.
  10. Hi Skip Thanks for that. Yes we made it OK. Hope to get a diagnosis on the problem later in the week. Keith
  11. On ferry from Le Havre. HPC had been to French Alps. We were returning from Portofino Meeting.
  12. My new scuttle had to have a big hole cut in the front face to suit a heater. What seemed quite a quick and simple job took ages (as Paul Formston would testify).
  13. Andy I've a feeling theres a flaring tool lurking in my shed. If so, it's your's. Will likely have some tube too. Don't imagine its a difficult job if you have reasonable access under the car. Keith
  14. Hi Nick, pellert Bill Blydenstein is the tuner. My 1800VX uses bits supplied by his company. BB was a Vauxhall specialist who produced race cars supported by Dealer Team Vauxhall and usually driven by Gerry Marshall. His most famous creations were the V8 Berthas ("Baby" Firenza and "Big" Ventora). FWIW my car was put on a rolling road last year and showed 125bhp. Compared to the old Steve Parker- tuned cross-flow I previously owned it's a bit lacking in character but quite capable. The rolling road man offer to bore it out somewhere near 2L and, with a steel bottom end, said it would turn out over 190bhp. I've got a Red Top coming sometime soon.
  15. Thanks for that Jonathan. After posting I read about taking feed from the fuse box. Where can I get doublers? Keith
  16. Fitting Racetech speedo on 1999 Classic. Struggling to find a switched feed and would appreciate any advice. Thanks Keith
  17. I'm about to fit a wheel speed sensor braket using caliper bolts. Would be grateful for confirmation of torque values. Presumably washer would be used as normal ie the bracket doesn't replace it? Advice appreciated Keith
  18. Hi I've an 1800 8V which pinks occasionally and has a reluctance to turn over at start up (it turns then almost stops before firing). The car was put on a rolling road and it seemed there was not a lot to be done because the ECU (MBE?) is pretty much outmoded. I'm not concerned too much as replacing the engine sometime in the future. Best of luck Keith

Seen at about 12.15 heading East on M4 near J10.
  21. Seen on the M4 this evening a Millyard Viper V10 powered m/c. Being very sedately ridden - impressive machine.
  22. Bonnet off presumably due to overheating having been caught in horrible tail back on the A34 where it intersects with M3. I was lucky to be heading north.
  23. Guess there aren't many 7s in Sicily. It was a bit dark and we were so surprised to see a 7 we didn't have time to get reg but the car had a track-day roll cage. Sorry if I was rude about the driving!
  24. We spotted a C7 traversing the back streets last Tuesday night. It takes a brave person to run a 7 there as Catanain road users have no regard for safety. SWMBO and I dreaded driving through the city.
