  6. Hi Andy. I have used a stilo practice head set. For our last two trips round Scotland they are very good. Only problem are the two wires from the control which is battery powered. We borrowed them of someone. But think they are for sale on demon tweeks site around £300 got a bit fed up with wires so bought pair of Sena wireless head sets £500. But personally. Think the stilo were a better fit and also cut out more outside noise they were also more comfy Would be good if you could find someone local. Who had a set you could try. Did first trip round NC run without intercom. Don’t no how. As when had intercom. Tottaly diff if you need any more info. PM me or phone 01624 674908. Derek
  7. Yes good trip anyway. Met bloke called Bruce sevens. He had been in Fran c,e previous. Week and had good weather. Met him for couple days. At Glen Elg inn nice place having breakfast. Looking over to sky one minute you could see it next all white. But went for run over weather crap. Place absolutely full Derek
  8. Wasn’t. Lucky with weather this time just come back from Scotland rain every day for last nine days not had hood down. Glenelg ferry to sky. Which was covered in mist and raining Hell of a seven mile road when you get of Glenelg ferry to main road. Makes roads round drumbeg. Look like a smooth motorway derek
  9. Hi Paul. My battery packed up few weeks ago as you poss no live on iom the battery fitted was a banner one but problems getting one over here. So went to local. Auto electrics. Only one he had was called a leasure battery for large motor bike or mower ????? Only around £50. Put one on cos only option Called to see bloke who does work on most sevens he said it’s not as powerful as A banner but should be ok. My thoughts are. Given use my seven gets is if it needs replacing every three years to me ok. I bought a micro jump start. Around £90_00. Which is great it also changes Kay’s phone and sat nav also. Of come across. Anybody with problems. Poss may help would love to come across a very expensive Ferrari. To give him a boost. And poss wind him up. Pile of expensive crap even if. A bit jealous.   13. Hi as said above best skt under dash to plug in battery conditioner Ps poss bit over the top but as I am always leaving lights on. I carry a light tow rope. A small set jump leads and bought a small jump start kit which is great as it also can be used to charge up phones I pads ect derek

  16. Thanks Keith. Must have been lucky on both trips first in May after Yorkshire pie run then year after End august . Not many midges poss lucky or yorkshire blood is to rich for them Mate of mine goes fishing to place called rosehall north of Inverness we went one year just for couple days got Eaton alive. Hope third time lucky. Roads quiet on both runs but all accomadation full but now book much in advance as poss. So nice job just aft Xmas sorting out route and acommadation Like sorting trip and once booked something to look forward to Hoping to do a few trips next year first. Being Yorkshire pie run. Did first two but missed last year enjoy your run. Derek

  18. Have done applecross twice once each way must admit think anti clockwise best view down last bit of pass. Stoped both times at applecross inn for meal great crab salad. Tried to book there for night but Both times full was talking to bloke there he says. Peak times they get booking year plus in advance derek

  22. Thinking of calling in there for night next year on run up north. Been to Lindisfarne but not near sea houses saw place on a tv prob few months ago looked good place. Is ship inn ok and seven friendly enjoy your trip out derek
