  1. When driving in the wet the foot wells gather quite a lot of water so I am going to silicon some areas.......but which areas? Car has lowered floors and I can’t see any gaps when shining a light through....any suggestions as to where it finds its way in? Thanks in advance.
  2. Just to echo all the above sentiments. Many thanks to Chris for all his input and encouragement over the years. Big thumbs up to the “3 amigos” for taking this huge job on. Maybe worth joining Class 2 as Graham, Paul and Alan will be busy checking over the time sheets instead of their runs....but there again Chris and Matt will have more time too!!!! Big thanks to all
  3. Chris, from memory there is a B&B about 5 minutes from the track which is adjoined to a farm that has loads of safe off road parking by the barns. Not sure what the name is but if you google the area it should come up.
  4. Hi Tom, Based in Haworth, West Yorkshire. I have downloaded "Easimap" but will have to buy the cable from SBD......then i shall have to enroll at University on a computer course to try and understand it!
  5. Hi Chris, Many thanks for the information. No it wasnt raining when i took took it for ths cambelt change but i did hose all the salt off it when i got there! From what Steve G said the MAP has no power to it, it was the first thing he mentioned when it was remapped two years ago and has been excellent since with the Premier Power ultralight flywheel.. I shall get in touch with Steve and see if he has the TPS settings on my file for the ECU, I shall put a tube over the MAP opening too and also disconnect the battery...just in case!
  6. Thanks for the input Chris. Mine was a 150 0n TB's but i had it changed to a 140SS. It does not use a MAP! I took it to Track and Road to get it sorted and Steve G said it was not connected anyway and to leave it off if i was not intending driving up the Alps! So there is no rubber hose. When Steve G remapped the locked ECU he took out the need to disconnect the battery. Car has new plugs and new Lambda sensor. The car was fine until I took it on the trailer to have the cambelt done. But getting it off the trailer it would not hold tickover or able to blip the throttle so something must have moved. It works now due to altering the idle screw but that is a remedy and not a cure. hence looking at the TPS. Do you know where i can getting what the TPS parameters are for the 140SS.....i was hoping they were the same as the 150 which arte well documented. Thanks in advance
  7. Developed tick over / running problems, sorted with altering the throttle stop but need to check why it has happened.
  8. looks like I need to check the TPS settings on my Sigma 140 SS. Does anyone know what settings I should be looking at , are they same as the 150 on TB's? Thanks in advance !
  9. Hi Dave, Can’t help on the light front but I hope you and Diane are well.....retired yet?
  10. Thanks, do you place the clips in the 3 small brackets welded to the lens back?
  11. Having to replace two headlight lenses......got them apart OK but how do you get the three retaining springs/clips back in that hold the lenses in place? Any advice much appreciated. After 4 hours and a little brute force the first light is done. Many thanks for all the advice.
  12. hi John ....no it was inside the pump...so just pumping the fuel around instead of out!
  13. It lives........and the winner is Gary B! Tried the easy start and it fired checked the injector bits and they were working. Unplugged the fuel lead to the engine..but no fuel coming through. Boot floor our and fuel pump out ( only 11 months old) and the pipe that goes to the outlet of the pump had come off....so easy fix with a cable tie. I am hoping it was not pushed home properly during manufacture! All back together and it fired up. So many thanks to you all for all your suggestions....I have learnt a lot today. After the club track day at Croft it has not being starting as well as it used to....I suppose it could be related if the pipe was getting looser and not sending enough fuel through for tick over.
  14. No joy yet! Going to take the scuttle back off and see if any wires got trapped when putting it back on which may have rubbed whilst on the trailer. thanks for all the comments!
  15. Yes, was wondering about that, do you know which one it is or called on the fuse list? Thanks
  16. SM25T, thanks, have pressed numerous times but not hard!! But fuel pump is whirring away. Will try pressing hard tomorrow. Warmed it up for 30 mins prior to putting it on the trailer.....30 mins later, it turns over fine but wont fire. I presume something has dislodged in transit.
  17. car running fine. Put it on trailer to bring it home, 30 minutes later it will not start. It has a strong spark and the fuel pump is working fine. Any ideas what to do next. I have not detached the fuel line yet in the engine to make sure fuel is coming through. How do I do this? Any advice much appreciated as always. Thanks in advance.
