  2. Nobody out there with any pearls to share on this? Does that mean I'm going to have to get the spanners out? ☹️ Didn't really want to take the scavenge pump off and all that entails, but if needs be............ Never too old......

  4. I'm going to Le Mans in my R300 and thought it might be worth adding an override switch to the fan - just in case ❗ How is it best to wire this, without upsetting the fan's normal operation? Thanks John Never too old......
  5. My car's been laid up for a while and on starting it the oil pressure is running @ 6 bar at idle. I understand that this might be caused by the pressure relief valve sticking. Any advice? Should I just let it run up to temperature and hope that the valve will release when the oil gets a little thinner? Or - do I get the spanners out? - Dry sump scavenge pump covers the cover, so have to dismount the pump.... Also, if I do resort to spannering - what's the best way to deal with the problem? Looking forward to some pearls of wisdom Never too old......

  8. I've just bought a replacement security key for my R300 from Shurlok. Although their website says that they'll send details on programming the new key using the red master that I still have. But surprise, surprise - nothing came with it and despite several attempts to contact them I get no reply. Does anyone know how to programme a new Shurlok security key???? Never too old......
  9. I got one for £2.50 from a local breakers yard - a quick swill through the dishwasher and it was like new.... Never too old......

    Pace oil capacity

    Bobt, Happy to hear that 'over the top' is OK. Hope all goes well for getting the thing going this weekend. Do you have a map for the Emerald? Your spec sounds much like mine and I took it to Dave Walker who set the map - which I have on floppy....... I also supplied Dave Andrews with a copy, ..........so that may be a good place to start Have fun! John Never too old......

    Pace oil capacity

    I fitted the Pace remote tank at the end of last year - with the engine in - and had loads of fun replacing the footwell end plate Same question - where have you run the lower oil pipe? Mine has gone over the gearbox, but I worry that this is too high. I'm going to be changing the oil shortly and was wondering if I should try to reroute it under the box? Never too old......
