All the sweeter imagining him moaning and grumbling all the way home!!!!!! probably a few tears as well its funny, after singing "I am the champion" all the way home I actually felt just a tiny pang of something I couldn't quite put my finger on, compassion maybe? I notice that Dick Dastardly has jumped ship in order to get a tarmac space !! (and the associated tyre warming effects of sun on tarmac!!!!) It doesn't take much for his true colors to show!! Very much looking forward to Aintree next Saturday, but I have just had it confirmed that no camping is allowed, unless you have pre booked your camper van and it has an inside loo. I have booked into the Liverpool North Premier Inn and will drop the trailer in the paddock on Friday afternoon. They say that security will be on site, so hopefully it will still be there on Saturday morning!! Tony

when your driving is limited to 4,5 or maybe 6 runs of between one and two laps it really concentrates your mind and is so much more intense than a track day. Add to that the often very close competition where one tiny slip will cost you several places, it gets very exciting and not a little scary. But the real beauty of sprinting and hill climbs is the rhythm of the day, preparing yourself and the car for the next run then coming down afterwards and comparing times and videos, before preparing again. The day goes by so fast and with such a nice bunch of like minded and fun people, well most of them anyway!! I started at the intro to sprinting day 7 years ago and am now completely addicted. Its really worth a try whatever you preconceptions. Tony Did I ever mention that I was once 2nd in class at Blyton!!!

I was just wondering when practice will be allowed again? But I guess I have missed the boat. Still if as Richard says anyone has it booked and has a spare place I would be up for it.
