I would like to add CSR wings to my 1990 7which has the cross shaped top link as there is a set of CSR wing stays for sale in the sales section. Has anyone done the conversion and does anyone know if they will fit onto my set up, any modifications required? Thanks Phil

Nice wheels, make a 7 look like a factory built car. Sometimes sell well on Ebay as the Locust and Westlife boys like them. What tyre size and model of tyre are they?

Why don't you just cut the end off, re pack the system and get the end bit sleeved so it will go back together with some bolts, easy to re pack next time.

Thanks for the help, remembered Burton Power sell weber parts, found the idle screw springs and I have ordered fresh plates and rubber washers, will replace the lot. Phil

Thanks But what are thackery washers, look like springs, do I need these if I have the rubber bits and cup washers?

Hi all I have a 1990 7 running a 2.0 zetec, it has run brilliantly for years on the webers but it has started to play up today, spitting back through the 40s or possibly the mounting plate "O" rings. I have found that one of the idle mixing screw springs is broken so the screw is free to move compared to the others and out of balance so I need to order some new springs. The 40s are floating on washers and cup washers but I do not know how tight these should be or if I should have "THACKERY" springs? Help

The engine is up and running but he has failed the MOT on emissions, he has replaced all the sensors and the exhaust has no leaks, I wondered if the timing had anything to do with it?

Hi Had a customer in rebuilding a 1.8 K series in a Freelander, he ordered a cam lock tool, when he called to collect the tool he said that he had already done the job setting the engine up for safe running, I do not understand why he has done this? He had been advised to get all the pistons level, line up the bottom marks then fit the belt, the idea being that the pistons were away from the valves making them safe. Is this possible and will he have to re set the belt at a later date? Phil

I run 195/50/15 Parrada spec 2 as shown and these are identical performance wise to the Toyo T1R they are not to hard for a 7 in my opinion, went to the Parrada tyres as the cost of the toyos had risen, would have either on my car. Very good in the wet but never tried them on the track. I have not yet tried 13" wheels and tyres.
