  1. Parked up opposite Arches. Lovely weather for it.
  2. Lovely meeting you all yesterday - still gutted that I didn't bring mine along. - Edit - Portmeirion posted a load of photos on their FB page. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154028111264899.1073741839.279367059898&type=3 Fraser.
  3. That's my afternoon sorted then (I'll also phone Soft Bits tomorrow). Thanks. Fraser.
  4. Dear POBC, What's the best cure for a musty hood? I rarely use the thing, but on Friday due to an unfortuante confluence between the rain and the requirement for an MOT, I was forced. Trouble is the last time I used it I must have put it away damp, which has created a fine growth of mold over the inner flocked surface. My first thoughts are to just chuck the full hood and buy a half hood instead, but I am informed by Beloved that this is not an option. So, anyone know of a good way to freshen up my musty hood? Thanks, Fraser.
  5. I've been running Dunlop DZ03G tyres this year on my 15" shod K Series Supersport 140. The grip in the dry and damp is astonishing, not so hot in standing water mind....
  6. Last year I parked mine at the front of Cliff House, didn't get spotted but I did come across some chap sitting his children in it whist he took photographs. Seemed to think it was one of the attractions. I hardly laughed at all.
  7. Sounded lovely as it burbled past on it's way down to the Hotel. The one week I didn't bring mine along and two turn up in as many days.
  8. GN11 - Classic Taking plenty of pictures by the Triumphal Arch. You drove off before I had chance to say hello.
  9. Just near the junction with the M1 at around 5:45pm. Queues and drizzle - just caught a glimpse as I headed northbound.
  10. It was good to meet you, hope you had a good time on the karts.
  11. Thanks for all the advice, I've got Tony at TSK's details and passed them on to the repairers. BBL - I don't think it's the same colour. the one new 40th Edition I have seen looked a bit more scarlet. Fraser. Edited by - Occulomency on 20 Jan 2014 10:47:35
  12. I'll pass that advice along. Again, many thanks. Fraser.
  13. I tend to agree. Fortunately we are discussing a small area of damage, but I've checked with them and they wanted the original colour so they could more accurately match. Thanks. Fraser.
  14. Thanks Caterham just called back, the colour - for future reference is: GM America – BRILLIANT RED MICA – CODE 75A Cheers. Fraser.
  15. POBC - After a slight misunderstanding involving me, my 7 and a telegraph pole, the very nice gentleman at the repairers need to know the colour code for the paint on my 1998 Caterham 40th Anniversary Edition. All I know it as is 'Ruby Red' but I'm sure there must be proper paint code. Caterham have been helpful, but don't have the records as all their painting is outsourced (so they tell me). So, anyone know or at least know where I should look? Thanks. Fraser. Edited by - Occulomency on 17 Jan 2014 11:46:24
  16. Up near the Longshaw Estate just off the A625 at around 9:15 this morning. You were having more fun than I was Edited by - Occulomency on 26 Aug 2013 17:15:24
  17. Heading towards Gunthorpe Bridge on the Lowdham Bye-Pass. I was in the Red Clammy one, heading the other way. Lovely sunny day for it. Fraser.
  18. Great, thanks. That's put my mind at rest. I'm still learning about my Caterham, so I probably spook easily. It comes from too many years of Jag ownership. Fraser.
  19. You've got me worried now. I have the same clutch pedal issue, fine when normal gear changing but requiring an extra deep push when selecting reverse. It's a c1998 6 speed box, would this have the same clutch arm issue? Thanks, Fraser. Edited by - Occulomency on 30 Apr 2013 11:30:45
  20. If I'd have know you we're off to the chip shop, I'd probably have followed you.
  21. Coming off the M6 onto the A500 north of Stoke at 5ish yesterday afternoon.
  22. Orange with a black bonnet stripe. Only spotted for a second as I was southbound in the tin top.
  23. Yeah, it was the gravel. Back to sounding like Brian Blessed again. Happy days! Fraser.
  24. The nuts and clips are all nice and tight. There is a metallic sounding rattle when I give the silencer a slap. However, I found a dozen or so bits of gravel trapped between the heat shield and the silencer. I'll take it out for a test in an hour or so and report back. Thanks for your kind advice. Fraser.
  25. It's a single pipe outside of the body. I'll check the clips when the thing cools down. Cheers. Fraser.
