I just replaced the alternator on my Seven, and found prices varied wildly. Ford and Rover were quoting around £200 +VAT and I work in the trade. In the end I bought one locally from Frome auto electrical for £50+ VAT, brand new! The owner has an Esprit V8 so had a good chat about Lotus things in general. I'd read that too, but found the spark plug is too small. Think 18mm 1.5mm pitch was also mentioned? For the moment I'm using an old Lambda sensor with the wires chopped off, until I can find a suitable (neater) fix. David Smitheram, Wiltshire (South) AR, 07718 368173. 1400 supersport ex racer

I've wanted to race for many years, and have made excuses for the last few, mostly to do with money. Well, I'm going to go for it next year, so have booked in for my ARDS course at Oulton Park on the 12th of December. <img class='"smiley"' alt='"cool' src='"images/smilies/cool.gif"' smiley"="" data-cke-saved-src=""> I've never driven Oulton before, so thought it would be a good way of getting to drive a new circuit to me, although in Clio 197s rather than the Seven. I'm planning to race my first season in the Castle Combe special GT series, knowing I will be hopelessly outpaced in my little 1.4, but figure the experience will do me some good?! It's a local circuit to me, and as I don't have a tow car or trailer it's not too far to get home should I have a mechanical or worse. Any tips on the ARDS? Have searched, but can't find which type and size I would need to replace the rear/brake light bulbs? Hi, I'm looking for a thinner front anti roll bar for my standard width 1400 supersport. I can't remember the exact thickness of my current one, but it's about the same size as the wishbone. If more than one is offered I may be interested in a selection, so I can have a play around with settings on track. Post a couple of screen shots using the bullet cam and I will have an educated guess (I used to own Fast Films). Take a look at Fast Films , click on shop, then look through the bullet cam accessories where you will see the differences in view (both inside and outside a car) each lens gives.
