  1. I'm pondering the options available to dry-sump a K-series and wondered if it's feasible to have the best of both worlds: A Pace kit (with the cost and scavenging benefits it brings) A Caterham bell-housing tank Assuming I had acquired a Caterham dry-sump bellhousing tank with it's conning tower, is it likely to be possible to marry it to the Pace system? Just a thought, and no doubt a daft one.. 🙆🏻 Darren K80RUM
  2. I was considering some of these, they look nice and seem pretty reasonably priced. Out of interest, does anyone of any pics of the 13" ones on a car? I haven't spotted any during my surfing.. Cheers, Darren

Doug, If you bought your car with the Caterham hydraulic clutch fitted, I think i may have driven it (I think it was in a silver K series at the time and, if memory serves it was a one-off prototype). Not sure why Caterham didn't put it into production but perhaps Len might know. Anyway, the hydraulic clutch that i tried worked quite well and was off a new type VW beetle if what i was told was correct.. Darren K80RUM
  4. Great tip Paul - thanks! Not being much of a polisher, I was just thinking the other day that my switches were looking a little faded and also spotted some the requisite, relatively unused leather cream yesterday sitting in my garage. I shall try combining the two to see the results! Many thanks for posting this idea!
  5. Cheers PC, concise and to the point as always! Much appreciated, I shall do the requisite bank-job and add it to the upgrade list. Luckily the engine's coming out when I dismantle the car for cleaning and overhauling so that'll minimise the impact of fitting the thing. All the best, Darren (PS I still have your seat mounting CAD pics pinned up on my office wall back in Camberley as art - you emailed them to be yonks ago!)
  6. Hello all, I just had a quick question about upgrading to a Rover dry-sump. The two choices in front of me are Pace or Caterham. They both do the same job, the Pace system does it cheaper and people seem v happy with it. In favour of the Caterham system is the natty tank solution. Apart from this, is there much difference - Is the Pace system a better solution in any way? I'm happy to be a fool and part with the extra cash in order to keep Caterham in business, but if at the end of the day the Pace system does the job any better, well...that's what's most important isn't it? Thanks for your help Darren (off to introduce K80RUM to Chester (it's been moved up from Surrey), whilst avoiding the tractors, horses, etc, etc)
