  12. thanks for the input guys, but it seems that the Tacho is faulty, I tried the wiring, the micro switches and even checked that the current was getting through, but no change the light stayed on! Caterham are sending a new tacho as I write. Thanks again Dave Jackson
  13. strangely enough, apart from the shift light not working, there was nothing wrong with the Tacho, but now I've got a permanent orange light! I'll try to get hold of Simon Failing that I might try the DIY option and fit some proper shift lights - although the engines barely run in yet! Thanks Rob Dave Jackson
  14. The ECU looks different to the standard Rover unit its larger and has two connectors instead of one, but it was factory supplied Dave Jackson
  15. Its a supersport engine, but not modified in any way Dave Jackson
  16. Sorry to raise this one again! I've wired up the new tacho provided by Caterham, which should allow the Tacho shift light to work, but the shift light stays permanently on! has anyone resolved this problem, as the helpline seems clueless and have either promised to call me back (not!) or not been there..Help :-) Dave Jackson
  17. No it doesn't work, back to the helpline.... b****r no one there again!!!!
  18. I called Caterham Midlands on this one today, The technical helpline having apparently dissaperaed up its own a**e, they said that they thought the instructions on setting the micro switches on the back of the rev counter were the wrong way round, i.e. the standard position is the supersport position and vice versa, I will try that out tonight and post a reply tommorow
