Used Redline in the Landy . Invested at £12 an electric pump from Lidl .Mind you , got used to the taste of petrol when my Fiat Mirafiori used to vapour lock in traffic jams .Ahh , i love the taste of petrol in the mornings

2000 , X Reg S3 DeDion 45k on the clock and shes living in hot , dry sunny Spain .Type 9 gearbox , presume Sierra open diff at rear . So , 75 / 90 GL4 ( not GL5 )but Castrol do a GL 4+ for the Gear box What to put in the rear diff ? Both are sealed for life and just need topping up so I'm told .Sorry , I like to change on a regular basis . Ant thoughts ?

I bought a pair for my 2000 S3 .Looked at the bracketing that fitted originally and thought I had made a mistake .Couldnt figure it out .Not fitted yet but you replace the whole lot with the provided arm and bolt it into the pinch bolts on the top of the rail .Simples .Just have to figure the wiring if i want to hide it

SORTED . Stephen Greenald of Race Engine Calibration did a complete re map (07774773824) Dyno at Marlin Motor Engineers Milton Keynes .( 01908366256) Didn't realise how bad the mapping was . So for those with ancient , papyrus scroll ecus Well worth it

I love the idea of greasing or lubricating anything and everything that is prone to wear (except the brake pads) . Throw back to my MGB and a Defender . I have no idea how to lubricate the upright to lower wishbone joint .Hate the idea of all the wear thats going on .No nipples to play with . So , what do I do to with this set up ? Is it just a case of unbolting , splitting and a good greasing ?

An insurance company cannot invalidate the "Third Party Liability" part of a policy .Injured 3rd parties would be paid out .But if your car had no MOT , not roadworthy you would get diddly squat .

Does anybody know of a specialist who can tune an old Minizeta management system . I know not supported now , but looking to get the fuelling spot on as its running very rich ? Dont want to have to buy and get a new box of tricks set up , far to expensive .

I have a 7 with a Zetec engine . Foolishly ( i think) I removed the TPS of the throttle bodies when we took the head off . I need to reset the TPS .So , can i do it by feel ( slacken off cable , set to just tick over , then tighten back up ) or is it a case of using a laptop . If so , where on earth can i get the software ? I dont think its supported .All help appreciated Thanks

Has anyone a recommendation for a fast turn around for a replacement key on an aero fuel cap ? I only have one key and my local key supplier who specialises in car key replacement failed big time .

Easier and cleaner oil changes , position of the tiny W77 filter is a pita .Slight increase in capacity ( you vcan never have enough oil , I also own a Defender ) You can pre fill the filter .And it looks sexy .I would say that Pearl has done 42K without problems , but either the head gasket or a ring has gone , so in the process of sorting that out

So , my "X" reg 7 has a Zetec conversion .The oil filter is miniscule so i would like to fit a very nice Hel remote kit so i can use a full size one .So , can i fit it by drilling holes for the bracket and rivnutting it to the box frame above the steering rack .The bodywork laps over , im just worried that i might be weakening the framework.Or is that not an issue .Or has anyone got a better idea where to mount it .The Zetec replaced a Kent .
