  1. Hi Nicolas I've emailed you some pictures. Let me know if you want more or photos of specific areas of the car. Chris
  2. 1984 long chassis with cycle wings (not Q reg). 27K miles Full respray in blue metallic with silver stripe 1800 zetec, 40s, weber alpha etc 134bhp at wheels on Aldon dyno 5 speed live axle (no clunks) Hi vis hood / "bubble" side screens Cloth S type seats, map pocket, full carpets FIA roll bar 13" minilite style wheels (resprayed to match bonnet stripe) £7900 Tel: 07808 971304 or 01827 705690
  3. I'm currently stripping a set of the later DCOE 40's with the square float. I've noticed that there is a small hole about 3/4 of the way up of each of the float chambers. This is on the "engine" side of the float chamber so theoretically fuel could enter it during hard right cornering. Do all DCOEs have these holes? If so what do they do? The reason I'm keen to find out is that despite double checking electrics, float heights, fuel pump and pressure regulator the car still misses while corning hard on right hand bends.
  4. Hi Ebay has worked for me in the past - I've managed to pick up a couple of sets of XT shifters over the last year ( as well as some Suntour XC pro ones). As an alternative (and if you can get them)seriously consider the later Campagnolo Thumbshifters (small black not the large grey ones). They are lighter and shift really well with Shimano 7 or 8 speed. Chris
  5. Thanks for the advice - let you know what cures it. Chris
  6. My car has a misfire when cornering hard to the right. Hard to the left, accelerating in a straight line - no problem. It makes no difference if the fuel tank is full or half empty, if th engine is under load or at constant revs or even what revs its at. The car is running an 1800 Zetec with webber alpha ignition and DCOE 40s. It was rolling roaded less than 500 miles ago and had new plugs and leads. Anyone had a similar problem or ideas what the problem could be?
  7. Thx for the advice. As I've got a heater / heated screen and use the car in winter I've gone for a 45 amp unit from another factor. Chris
  8. I'm replacing the alternator on my Xflow (1700 / 244 cam) and have been given 3 options for a Xflow by a local factor: - 55 amp output - 36 amp - 34 amp Which one should I go for? (Phoned Caterham who reckon theirs is 45 amps?) Chris
  9. I've got a Vulcan 145 bhp spec engine 1700 Xflow with about 150 miles on the clock I was thinking of selling. Spec is 1700, new cast pistons with machined valvepockets, 244 cam (brand new),lightened balanced (with clutch), HD con rod bolts, duplex timing chain, new AP clutch. Complete with receipts etc Not sure what the going price is (I was just going to put it on ebay) but if its the type of thing you're after then email me or give me a call on 01827 705690. Regards Chris
  10. Full set of 5, with or without tyres, any condition within reason. e-mail or call 07808 971304 Chris
  11. Thanks for the response Set the front end up as standard yesterday, mine was way out with more negative camber. As expected the car seems much more stable. Regards Chris
  12. For general day to day road use I've fitted 16" HPC wheels (205/45 tyres) to my X-flow. (standard track) I'm after any recommended toe in / camber settings, as well as any other set-up advice to give a "neutral" set-up - I'd sacrifice a bit of turn in for back-road stability. Cheers Chris
  13. Di-dion fitment , any condition within reason , with or without tyres. Please e-mail or call 07808 971304 (Midlands)
