  1. Check your tyre pressures straight away after the first few sessions. On ZZR's I aim for 25psi rear & 28psi front. Check your oil level before you start & after every couple of sessions. Get some instruction. Watch your mirrors & don't hold up faster cars. Enjoy the day & build your speed up gradually.
  2. First track action of 2024 for me. Damp start to the day, but then it dried up nicely. I had two friends with me enjoying passenger laps. Just 3 cars quicker than me on the day. A Lotus Exige 430 Cup, another Lotus Exige with a 460 BHP upgrade running super sticky tyres & a Cayman GT4 RS, but I still have plenty to learn before I get anywhere near what the car is capable of. The car ran perfectly all day. Just a shame my GoPro didn't play ball in terms of the sound recording hence adding the music. https://youtu.be/xTQ_otULSNo?si=iXu2eUn3U8TZJiYi
  3. I was so I refitted them.
  4. Did it Friday. We had much better weather. It did however, rain quite hard as we started the final run through the big course. The dramatic reduction in grip from what we’d gotten used to made it tricky. It’s a good day and I’m glad I did it, although a bit less standing around and waiting would be preferable. All the Caterham team were great - very helpful. Bob L even popped by late morning to say hello.
  5. The crown is on the left so it doesn't dig into the back of your hand. If you wear your watches low on the wrist it's much more comfortable.
  6. PGM did mine recently & even though my the corner weighting was not hugely out before they started & I only drove home afterwards at sensible pace, the car felt better balanced.
  7. Update - CL have confirmed by phone this morning that club days are covered.
  8. Just had a list of track day organisers approved by Classic Line Through & the club is not on it. Have others had club days covered by CL?
  9. A rare opportunity to grab a Sinn icon in this condition. This watch is in superb condition & is a very full set coming with the inner & outer Sinn box, screwdriver, instructions, hang tag, spare bracelet link, a pair of uncut black 20mm Sinn rubbers (no clasp), a spare link for the bracelet & a Sinn service case. The lume plots have aged beautifully and the hands are a very close match as I hope you can see from the photos. The watch is fairly loose on my 7.25" wrist with 2 adjustment holes remaining & as mentioned there is a spare link. The bracelet clasp has the divers extension and does have a few swirlies. The bracelet has folded end links. The case, bezel & crystal look to be almost unmarked. The dial & hands are very clean. The chrono & date function work as they should. Timekeeping is good, but it's hard to be precise without a running second hand function. I got the watch in 2015. It had a big service at Sinn costing €905 (receipt & replaced parts included) in Feb 2017 - original dial & handset retained. When I got the watch back from Sinn I noticed the crystal was marked so Sinn replaced that & re-gassed the watch FOC. I then had the winding mechanism lubed & the watch re-gassed by TWR in Feb 2020. Both those receipts included also. In the interest of full disclosure the winding is a not perfectly smooth so it may need another lube, or possibly a new winding stem / tube at some point in the future. I'm asking £6,250 plus postage. Face to face preferred. I'm in Haslemere, Surrey. No trades thanks. Any questions by PM please. Thanks for looking.
  10. I’m interested depending on timing
  11. BlatChat "New & Updated" seems to be limited to 10 posts, or am I mistaken? New & updated was how I used to use BlatChat previously & I could go back quite a long way, which was useful.
  12. If you do track days (and why wouldn't you?) then why would you not use the best fluid?
  13. Thanks for those photo's. I forgot to take pictures of mine before I removed it to fit the side exit exhaust.
  14. 8 spoke 13" I was informed they were known as Anthracite's OP edited.
  15. If anyone has a set of wheel centre caps for 13” 8 spoke anthracite wheels that they don’t need / want, please let me know.
  16. Sorry about the thread resurrection, but I'm about to change the oil on my 620S for the first time. Is there a video anywhere showing the process? The one linked previously isn't there anymore.
  17. Very. I'd not subject my dog to the 7 with the roof off.
  18. Update - I bought the Honeywell 1030111 Howard Leight Noise Blocking Stereo Earmuff's. They do a good job of canceling out the buffeting, even with me wearing glasses / sun glasses & I can plug on my old iPod. The sound is a bit tinny, but quite acceptable & I don't have to have it too loud. Thanks all for the input.
  19. Those look good. Are they lighter than the OEM ones?
  20. Thanks all for the info.
  21. I know this subject has been discussed a few times, but from my reading so far, generally with more technical requirements including intercom / bluetooth etc. I'm a bit old school with my music & I have a huge collection on my old iPod classic that now has a 256gb SSD. I just want some simple ear defenders to wear over my wired ear buds so I can listen to music on long journeys without having to crank up the volume too much. The ear defenders need to work with glasses / sun glasses. Recommendations from personal experience much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  22. Sorry, for some reason the text didn't save in the OP. Corrected now. Yes, I spoke to PGM about this & just wanted to see how common an issue it might have been.
  23. Sorted - after discussing with AIM, I've mounted the cradle up side down using 3M twin lock. The Solo 2 attaches to the cradle using powerful magnets.
