  1. My 2011 Sigma with Type9 has grease nipples. Re - greased annually.
  2. What colour of wrap did you use Black or Graphite?
  3. Thanks..Going to measure up and get the 3M ordered and have a go, hopefully it will turn out like yours.
  4. That looks very impressive. Had you any previous experience of fitting wrapping? Also does the 3M wrap come with instructions?
  5. I didn’t know that dash wrapping was a thing until today.. Has anyone had this done or know anything about it. Does the dash need to be removed? Removing the dash and scuttle panel has been putting me off replacing my tired dash with a new carbon one.
  6. Brilliant thanks. That will work just fine, I can remove it when the hood is removed..
  7. I’m finding the half hood is rubbing on the Rollbar and taking the paint off especially on the bends. I have used some carbon effect tape on the upper straight section which looks quite good. It’s impossible to get the tape to sit right on both the curved sections though. Does anyone know of any Rollbar covers that would fit round the curved section or the full top section? I’m not keen on the head protection foam type.
  8. Thanks I’ve gone with Millers.. https://www.millersoils-shop.co.uk/alpine-antifreeze-blue-concentrate
  9. I’m about to change the thermostat in my Sigma engined 7 and renew the antifreeze. Premier Power did some work on the engine last year and I have blue antifreeze in to protect the new Radtec radiator. My thinking was I’ll change like for like, but standard Bluecol is no longer readily available. This was recommended to me Bluecol OE48 Hybrid Organic Acid Technology as the replacement. I’m wondering what’s the difference to OAT? As I use my car throughout winter, only being parked up if there is salt on the roads, could I go back to the OAT antifreeze Caterham recommend?
  10. I did have oil in when last checked in September. No signs of any oil on the garage floor or around the gearbox.
  11. After reading these posts the majority are for the layshaft. Has my old dad used to say “let it develop” Thank you all, and I shall remember not to call a sl*^e cylinder a sl*•e cylinder anymore 🙈
  12. I don’t know if my car has always had this transmission noise or not.I’ve been wearing good quality ear defenders which have blocked out most of any noises for sometime now. When I’ve recently took the ear defenders off whilst driving, I’d really forgotten how much wind and transmission and exhaust noise there is! I will try and describe the noise. When stationary with the engine idling and in neutral foot off the clutch pedal there is a what I can only describe has rotating wearing noise which disappears when I depress the clutch pedal. The noise will come back as I slowly let the clutch pedal back up to the biting point, car still in neutral. I can’t really hear the noise when moving. Something to be concerned about or is this me being overly cautious? 1.6 Sigma with 5 speed Type 9 gearbox.
  13. That could have very well been me Sir. If I remember correctly I’d done the Settle - Ribblehead - Ingleton loop..
  14. Some advice needed please. Car - 2011 Sigma 1.6 not Ti-VCT The water temp gauge fluctuates between 40 - 80 degrees whilst driving, if left idling the gauge will rise slowly to just over 80 and the cooling fan will cut in. I have an oil temperature gauge fitted which remains constant at 85, unless pushing hard on a track day and will rise to 90 -100 but quickly drop to 85 On a cool down lap. It’s done this in my 2 years of owning the car. Could I have a faulty water thermostat or water temperature sender unit? I have looked at just purchasing both a new thermostat and sender unit, but there is a lot of different options on Google.
  15. Hi Jonathan..The suction cup does indeed have the lever. I’m not bothered either way about dip or no dip.
  16. To save on the inevitable go aero replies. I’ll start with ‘I do go aero, just not in November, December, January and February’ I’m looking for a stick on interior rear mirror. I bought one with the suction thingy off the internet but it keeps dropping off. The one on Caterham website is just ridiculously priced. Any recommendations?
  17. I followed the Turn7 You Tube video. Turned out to be a very simple job less than 2 minutes to be fair and that’s not like me, if it can be done wrong I’ll usually find that way 🤣
  18. To program the new fob you need the working fob that’s already paired up. I do have one working fob, but it got me thinking what would happen if no working paired up fob was available?
  19. Thank you Dave..It was the Sterling fob. I’ve now sourced one from Motor Solutions and cheaper than ‘out of stock Caterham’.
  20. Message sent..Thank you Jonathan.
  21. Where would be the best place to source a new fob as Caterham are out of stock? Also, are new fobs easy enough to program in?
  22. Looking for a hood bag for S3 as per photo if anyone as one they no longer need.
