Made for Caterham R500 to replace the original crank damper. weight reduction (3ibs 12ozs down to 2ibs 4ozs), decrease in diameter of the alternator drive pulley (128mm dia down to 90mm dia) to slow the alternator Slight corrosion evident on the inner face- see pictures

  7. Lightweight Steel Crank pulley, reduced diameter alternator belt drive. Slight corrosion evident on the internal dia.(see pic) £85.

  10. I think con rod / crank failure was the cause , due to the heat generated / blueing on the failed rod The remaining bearing show no sign of aeration and heat. The piston looks as though it made a one way trip to the valves and head and remained generally in tacked. If it had still been attached to the rod and the engine rotating it would have suffered a lot more damage. Is there any evidence that this bearing had slipped around resulting in oil starvation overheating and seizure. The heavy damage seems to be confined to the one bearing. Dave

Hi, Some Caterham 21 parts have come to light 4 off rear Y exhausts and 3 off plastic fuel tanks if you require any of the above, you are a Caterham 21 owner that has registered with Stephen Hubbard (stephen.hubbard@lotus7.club) you don't have to be a club member to register. they are free apart from a small donation to Race Against Dementia charity . To be picked up from the CV32 6 area in the UK or at the Graham Nearn memorial blat at Gaydon in September. Dave
  14. A batch were found in the stores so a few left.
  15. New- been in storage for a few years. No fittings with the exception of the clutch fulcrum pin £150 collection from CV32 6 area preferred. Dave
  16. About right I think. Pay special attention to the cable and its routing can be as low as 60% efficient. Dave
  17. Hi Spec have modified there V1 spot caliper to make it into a pin slider.might be worth a look Dont bother with the Hispec V2 (pictured) .
  18. The rear brakes are getting hot on the 21 with solid discs and AP 2 pot calipers. Dave
