The chassis on my car is marked AM 86 20 which I believe to be Arch, manufactured in 1986, presumably week 20. It has de Dion rear suspension with drum brakes.

It's a 1700 Supersprint and was first registered in 1987, chassis number KLD 0155R.

    Neil.

The 20 in the Arch number must be a serial number not a week number, mine is AM 85 702

  2. Bit of confusion over terminology there JK.  I would say it is the other way round, i.e. the higher the ratio the lower the engine speed - think of it in terms of gearbox ratios, top is certainly higher than first. Of the two RV-4 mentions the 3.9 is higher (and is certainly the one I would use for cruising)

    Caveat Emptor

Have a read of his trading T&Cs!

    Its Webb BTW.

I have read them and I would never buy anything on those terms.  I suspect some of them may even be illegal , especially wrt distance selling regulations

  4. Why do you want to change them?  One issue with the oil temp will be where do you put the sender bulb - with a wet sump it can go in a sump plug adaptor but dry sump I don't know, don't think it will fit where the electrical sender fits

  5. Anthony, do you leave that gauge permanently in place?  This from the Demon Tweeks site:

The Sytec in line fuel pressure gauges have been developed to monitor fuel pressure when making final adjustments to the fuel system. The in line gauges are available in two pressure range types, with the 1-7bar range glycerine filled, and each including a male thread for attaching to an adaptor (available separately). The gauges are designed for setting up of the fuel system only and not recommended for permanent use.  (my bold). Blanking plugs are available

OldAndrewE - yes, moderators/admins can change content on the site.

    Simon

So in the short term, until this is decided, if there is something incorrect or even dangerous (from a technical aspect only I suggest)  perhaps a request could be made for it to be corrected

BlatChat "New & Updated" seems to be limited to 10 posts, or am I mistaken?

New & updated was how I used to use BlatChat previously & I could go back quite a long way, which was useful.

I use the 'unread content', seems to do the job!
