    I'll move both the outboard belts to the bushes in the frame - yes, it does feel a bit "loose" across my right soldier. Maybe I'll just have to live with peeling back a corner of the boot cover for access. The seats never had headrests - there doesn't appear to be any way of fixing them either - I can't feel anything inside that could be interpreted as a flange / frame / fixing etc

    Hi JV, Yes, I've used number 6 in the above diagram. My car never had inertia reels, just ancient manually adjusted belts. However, number 6 is also the bolt that holds my rollover bar in place (2 being the socket), whereas in the above diagram it's number 1. Thanks for the manual offer - I'll message you

    I've finally got around to swap out the manually adjustable seatbelts on my '88 Supersprint for some nice harnesses. However, it means that my boot cover doesn't fit anymore onto the studs on the chassis as the bolts for the inner shoulder harness straps are in the way. It was a nice and quick way into the boot - as getting it from the back has a tyre in the way. Anybody got any elegant solutions for solving this? There is a flat metal bar inside the front edge of the boot cover.

    I'm getting myself organised to do this, so is it possible to site the expansion tank on top of the heater, and then T into one of the 2 heater hoses (arrowed above). I don't have any valves on the heater circuit that would cause complications. It's easy to find a 5/8" T connector to do this, and it means I don't have to cut into the lower large diameter main radiator hose. As it's just for expansion of the system, I'm hoping it doesn't matter where the bottle is fed from.

    Luckily Mr. Jonathan Kay has come up trumps here - the part number is actually EAP8713, so it doesn't need the letter R at the front. It's from a Rover 200/400 up to '95

    Me to! I've had a look on ebay for an expansion tank - and there are 1000's, and they all appear to be very funky shapes with wierd fixing points - all uniquely designed for their original cars. So can anyone help identify the sensibly shaped and neatly installed example in the red crossflow installation pictured above? Many thanks

    The time has eventually come to fit some 4 point harnesses to my 1988 de-dion Supersprint. as you can see the originals are the very awkward to tighten type. Anyway, I seem to have a choice of where to fit the new ones. There is the original mount (#1 in the picture) and under the trim, there are 2 welded threaded mounts on the crossbracing, marked as #2 and #3. (the actual position of these are marked with pound coins) Looking at it, should I use 1 and 3 or 2 and 3? The trouble is, 2 and 3 don't seem to be equidistant to the centreline of the seat. Any thoughts? many thanks

    Hi, I'm after an original (black and silver) nosecone badge for a 1987 Supersprint. Anyone got a spare one out there I cold buy? It seems none are available, and they haven't been re-made (yet!) many thanks
