I recently changed from a 140 Roadsport to a 210 with stage 1 upgrade but no RBTBs. It goes like the proverbial compared with my RS but sounds very tame. Short of drilling holes in the can does anyone have any suggestions? Jeff
Job done but what a bugger. The de Dion gets in the way and I found I had to access it through the boot floor. And I should have had a length of suitable tubing ready to feed the oil in cos it definitely doesn't like to leave the bottle with it semi horizontal. Still; you live and learn!
Not having built my 7 I'm not that familiar with what's under the skin. I assume all the ally panels are double skinned but am always cautious about drilling holes. Specifically I want to fit a fire extinguisher in the passenger footwell on the N/S. Is it safe to put a couple of self-tappers into the panel at the side or are there any areas to avoid?! Jeff
I'm fitting the above and the rack has a hole drilled in the tubing below the number plate/light area. I assume it is to route the cable for the light but there is no hole at either end of the tubing adjacent to the bodywork for it to exit! Are you supposed to drill your own or have Caterham forgotten? Jeff

For everyones' info. I spoke to Rob at Ratrace and explained at this stage all I wanted was for him to give the car the once over as just purchased and still under warranty! Easy hour's money I would have thought? He said they were very busy but took my details and said he would get back to me. Over a week and not heard a dickie bird. Not impressed and won't be using him for anything I'm afraid. Chris at the Seven Workshop sent me a very pleasant email saying the business is closed owing to serious family illness and he will be reviewing in the New Year. Will revert to a non 7 specialist who is good and reliable and also in Potters Bar funnily enough.
Dan has an S3 so there's no compatibility! I'm pretty sure they are SV as there is bugger all room at the side! Do you know the dimensions and I can measure them. Jeff
If it's of interest I've just fitted a Thundersport half hood bought new for an SV with a standard roll bar on an SV with a double diagonal FIA roll bar and despite being told it would not fit and/or it would be a tight fit, it seems fine to me!
Caterham supplied this from new on the car which I have recently purchased but seem unable to explain what it actually does! Can anyone shed any light? Jeff
