    I did this to mine, Trident Racing Supplies, page 98 of their catalog, 4mm flush head steel rivnuts, I did mine all the way to the front bulkhead for easy access to all the tunnel top. Spend a few quid on dome head stainless capheads and it looks good too.

  6. It’s almost certain to be the can leaking cv grease where it’s peened over. Pull the drive shat out of the diff, clean it all up with brake cleaner, try and improve the sealing joint by peening with light hammer, clean it all up again and run a bead of silicone sealant around the joint. Probably a 90% chance of success, worse case is you have to repeat in few months
  7. Well known Caterham for sale fitted with 2.0 VX engine fully road legal and eligible for Lotus 7 Club Championship Class 4. I’ve owned, developed,competed and used this car for past 18 years, it’s won the Midland Hillclimb Championship outright in 2010 and finished in top ten for many years. Brief spec as below, full details available if required; 2.0 early VX engine with Wossner high compression pistons, Wossner steel rods, std crank, lightweight Roger King steel flywheel, Titan dry sump, AP twin plate open sintered clutch. Cylinder head ported with +1mm inlet and standard exhaust valves, solid lifters. Porting carried out by Tom New (New Techniques), zero degree inlet mainfold with Jenvey throttle bodies. Genuine 258 by and 199 fl lbs torque on Exon dyno before fitting to car (dyno sheet available) DTA ecu, Stack Rev counter, mechanical oil pressure gauge. Type 9, 5 speed Quaife Professional straight cut gear kit built by SPC with special steel baulk rings. Std main case with alloy top cover. Tranx plate diff with 4.1 cwp. Quantum dampers all round, Caterham 3 piece 13” alloy wheels fitted with Toyo R 888R tyres (1B). AP 4 pot front calipers with vented discs, std rears. Special proper bias pedal box fitted to enable correct balance to be set. Performance Fricton pads all round. Front and rear anti roll bars. Lowered floor drivers side with adjustable Tillet, fixed Tillet on passenger side. Full SD ROPS with appropriate paperwork. MSA Logbook. Car is fully road legal and can be happily driven on the roads It is meticulously prepared each year and is as clean and tidy underneath as is it on top. It does show the patina of 17 years use but it has been extremely well loved. It has not been used this year 2018, but is fully prepared. Engine refreshed in 2016 with new valve springs, piston rings, all other components well within service specifications. Loton Park 54.3, Shelsley 30.1, Prescott 44.4, Doune 46.9. There are a number of spares including a fully built spare 4.7 cwp on Tranx plate diff that will go with the car. Priced at £16,950. Photos and further info on request.
