  1. I spent a lot of time checking the final length of the fixing bolt. If it helps I’ll undo mine and measure it. Just let me know.
  2. They are great little mirrors. No vibration unlike the original door-mounted mirrors that I found to be totally inappropriate for safety in this little car (coming from motorcycles myself). Small though they are, they give a good clear view on both sides. You want the single seater mirror - you can get LHS & RHS. You’ll also need the mirror mount shown in the link you sent. One kit is enough to mount two mirrors. I found this link helpful when I chose/fitted mine. Just be careful cutting down the fixing bolts so they do not contact the windscreen glass. https://csr175.wordpress.com/2013/11/24/mirrors/
  3. These are the best pics I can offer prior to removing the door mirrors and replacing with screen-mounted Racetech ones. The pics at least show the general position of the mirrors and bolts. Cheers
  4. Not sure if the blades/arms are different for an S3 - my car is SV. Are both arms the same size? Looks like your driver’s side needs to rotate down more, but looks like the blade will then foul the upright screen surround.
  5. Hi - the actual blades look too angled. My July 2018 factory built car has the blades parallel and very close (just touching the lower screen surround).
  6. I emailed CC about this kit, asking if the bracket fitted to the top member of the roll bar. However, the response received was: No, this sits on top of the rear panel so the light sits just below the poppers. If this is the case then it does not particularly render it high level - it would only be slightly higher than the rear light clusters. Have email back to explain this.
  7. Was cleaning under the car today, wiping the muck from the oil pipe fittings. The metal fitting easily came away from the oil pipe as it enters the hose. I remounted it for the purposes of the picture. The part is so flimsy that I cannot see what purpose it served, but would welcome some reassurance this is the case! Cheers

  9. I can report these paint defects were rectified by CC. A very nice job done and no further problem areas found.
  10. This intermittent misfire was finally traced back to ‘very poor crimps’ on both battery terminals. CC replaced with new terminals, re-crimped and soldered.
  11. Update: reported the flaking paint along with photos to CC. They raised a warranty claim immediately. The warranty team have asked that my car be inspected onsite at Gatwick as they also want to determine if the areas of concern are limited to the currently affected areas or if there are other areas they may soon peel. Car is booked in. Very happy with this service so far
  12. Spotted what looks like peeling/flaking paint under the sill. Car new in July, 3200 miles. The areas that look like bubbling are just water after washing. I’ll be sending these pics to CC, but wondered if there is anything I should do to halt it. Have to touch up some of the chassis powder coating that had been chipped with some Hammerite. Should I simply touch these areas in too. Cheers - Neil
  13. I’m going to go against the grain here and say that while I empathise with how your frustration is making you feel, especially after the long wait for the kit and anticipation of an enjoyable build, I think it’s unfair to publicly post your email exchanges with the CC service on here. I have dealt with Michaela and found her to be super helpful and friendly. TBH here responses from CC have been pleasant and professional based on not possibly being able to know the full situation. She gave you a balanced initial opinion with broad bookend options to cover a range of scenarios your partial build may present. I just don’t see it as appropriate to slam her/CC on here just because an instant solution has not been offered. The Twitter threat will do nothing more than to thwart your attempt to get help from CC,IMO of course. Sure, if CC is at fault for some mismatched parts, fine - am sure it can be sorted, but are you really thinking they are accountable for making this whole situation evaporate by taking the car and completing at a massively deflated price/shipping costs? Just my twopence worth - but I always tell myself to be calm when trying to get a resolution from a vendor even if I am totally at a loss with them, rightly or wrongly. I hope you find a way to get the car finished in such a way that you can move on, but still end up being a proud owner.

    Akrapovic

Have Akrapovic ever made a slip on silencer for the Seven as they do for motorcycles (or any other manufacturer)? Used to fit lovely looking carbon fibre cans to my bikes when I rode. Some of them had a removable baffle for MOT.
  15. Used Optimate 3 on motorcycles for years, plugged in all year round. Had the Seven plugged in to the same charger since ownership in July, no issues.
  16. Nice summary Scott. Let’s hope we get an affirmative on these questions then can order. Maybe the Westfield parts dept would know. Might call them tomorrow
  17. Which arm to use though? The 155 mm or 175 mm? Maybe the shorter for S3 and longer for S5.
  18. Great - which ones specifically?
  19. Am not impressed with the arms/blades on my new SV. The arms are over-sprung and ping back onto the screen without warning and the blade assembly not very solid. I heard that classic mini replacements are better. Does anyone have a link or a better suggestion. ? cheers
  20. Enjoying the Blatmaps/MyRoute App. However, I keep finding that it is often trying to take me away from the route, such that at each turning it is difficult to tell which way to go, left of right, on the iPhone display. Is it trying to plot me a more efficient route? Also the route sometimes jutts out to left or right for a few metres and come straight back on itself back to the main route. I have zoomed in to the route and found this is not due to sloppy placement of waypoints.
  21. Checked all connectors - coils, TPS etc. All as it should be. Had plugs out. They are FoMoCo, but all perfect condition as you would expect. Ran engine and all fine when twidling around with the connectors. Will just have to see if it happens again and call CC if it does.
  22. Thanks. Seemed to be the engine, so maybe looks like intermittent misfire. Hopefully fixed by turning the car off and on again!
