  1. Should have mentioned the track day is on Friday the 30th
  2. Hi Trying to sort out heating issues with my car but not looking it will be done before the end of the month. So my place at the track day is up for sale if anyone is interested. Gautam
  3. I see, that makes sense. Thanks for your response!
  4. No, I meant the sliding mechanism, what is shown as A in this image here: http://www.alcester-racing-sevens.com/Rear_Pad_Change_1.JPG
  5. I have just been replacing the rear brake pads on my 2003 S3 for the first time since I bought the car last year. Before I assemble the rear brake caliper back again, couple of questions: 1) Should I be lubricating the sliding mechanism on the caliper? If so, is it recommended to just use normal grease? 2) There isn't a lot of space behind the retaining bolt for my torque wrench because of the wing? Do people use a smaller torque wrench or any other ideas? EDIT: Spring changed to sliding
  6. Sailed through MOT so ready for another year on the road. Price reduced to £10500 for a quick sale! Ad here: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/caterham/all-models/1993-super-seven-1600-crossflow-5-speed/9557016
  7. Will this fit an imperial chassis (2002) car?
  8. Car's coming out of storage soon for summer and also getting its MOT end of the month (I have absolutely no doubt it will sail through!), so bringing this back to the top again. I have been asked a few times, so just to confirm the car is absolutely stock, 5 speed and live axle!
  9. They do come back in stock every few weeks, so just sign up for a stock alert and wait (assuming you are happy to!)
  10. Hi Caesar I have a 1993 1600 Super Seven for sale here: https://www.lotus7.club/forum/market-place/sale-1993-super-sprint-1600-crossflow Having been to Le Mans and Champagne in summer this year, can definitely say 'been there done that'!
  11. BTTT - I know it's not necessarily the season for a Caterham but just in case anyone is interested, the car is still for sale!
  12. Will be there for sure! Last year was a fantastic day out although ending up leading a convoy of Caterhams while reading the Tulip maps by myself was interesting to say the least!
  13. Bump - Still available for sale if anyone is looking for a winter deal to be done!
  14. Sorry I was one of the late ones - now paid!
  15. Cheers Paul - Blackpool was last weekend. It was a good blat but very busy at the Illuminations! @nic.day - Agreed it seems to be the right compromise. Keep an eye out on eBay - I got lucky!
  16. Thanks Tom and Simon - valuable inputs! I know the car is vulnerable by design but every little helps! @nic.day - I managed to buy the newer SIB (as per the second picture in the original picture) from eBay just now. If you are looking for the older version (the one on my car), I might have one for sale soon!
  17. Good question - I guess it is peace of mind and I hope I will never need it! The latter option looked like a good balance between practicality and safety?
  18. My new(to me) Caterham comes with a side intrusion bar as can be seen in this picture. For a car much powerful that I am used to, it's good to have the extra protection but getting in and out of the car is a pain and I would like to be able to use the full doors. Is there a way around this? I have seen some pictures like the one below which suggests there might be another version which does allow use of full doors? Suggestions on where I could get these and how easy it would be to replace the existing SIB?
  19. Price reduced to £11,000 now, great deal to be had!
  20. Still up for sale - open to offers before I put the car away for winter!
  21. Hope to find a good home for the car, it's definitely going to give the next owner many miles of happiness!
