This has most definitely been discussed before, but what is the general consensus on lithium battery’s to replace the banner battery that has died in my R400K.

Im trying to set the shift lights up on my R400k (stack dash and aces shift lights) but I can’t seem to get in to the mode to change the settings on the aces lights. Reading the instructions that are on aces website it tells you to press the dedicated button on the dash twice to enter the setup mode. When I do this all it does is turn the low rpm light on and off. Looking under the Dash it appears that the lights are connected to the stack dash I assume this is just for a rpm signal and not to set them up as you can only set a max rpm within the settings on the stack dash but I believe that is for a singular stack shift light and not the aces ones. If anyone know where I’m going wrong and remedy it that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply’s and info. The engine I was contemplating getting is too far gone to be swapped straight in without a rebuild. But if anyone wants a potential bargain there’s an S1 Exige at copart

What is needed to be done to fit a k series out of an Elise/Exige in to a Caterham. Is it just swap the sump, engine mounts and ancillaries or is it a more involved job. The 7 already has a 1.6k in it.

I’m looking to upgrade to a R400K or SLR. I would like something well spec’ed out Ideally it would have lowered floors and tillets (6’4” so I don’t really fit otherwise) as well as a 6 speed box, limited slip diff, dry sump and roller barrel tb’s but will be willing to compromise on some of theses.
