Has anyone confirmed the 0-60 and high speed advantages of going aero, or is it all based on "feeling". logic suggests that the reduced surface area should allow the car to cut through the air and I don't suppose Caterham would have put the car in a wind tunnel..........would they? any thoughts........ david

having read numerous articles about upgrading the K and wrestled with the costs and implications of extracting more power I am looking for advice I have read and re-read the "my cats been scalded" topic and having just returned from k-maps after an hour blast along the M40 with aero this afternoon, am left wondering why an Emerald ECU is required to liberate more power when the standard ECU can be remapped up to 200bhp according to Mark. im getting out of my depth technically here, but Mark said if you want roller barrels and more than 200bhp you would need the Emerald, but a VHPD spec engine with throttle bodies and cams can and has been run from the standard ECU and he has the maps available So my question is, up to 200bhp can I save several hundred pounds and not go Emerald? thank you PS the remap is superb, noticeable improvement in strength through the gears, smoother acceleration and the engine feels as though it's been unshackled.

I have just returned from K Maps this afternoon, having had my X power 140 engine released from its original programme. Engine feels liberated, more urge through the gears and sounds superb on the over run. Probably the best value enhancement for the money.

Appreciate the responses, I will try phoning Caterham, then order one from Mog if unsuccessful. It will give me an excuse to buy a Bremmel thingy, though I'm a bit worried about mistakes! thankyou

Original instruments,where do I get one from? Caterham don't ever have any in stock, and never email back to say they have one when/if they come in! Mog racing don't supply pre cut for instruments The usual companies that advertise don't do SV Any directions appreciated
