  3. 4-1 Exhaust for sale for a Rover engined Caterham, working order, only selling due to an upgrade..open to offers from club members on here, drop me a pm. ebay link here for reference: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/caterham-4-1-exhaust-Rover-K-Series-/253128498534?hash=item3aefa25d66:g:oy8AAOSwILFZqWjs
  4. I was hearing good things about KBS rust seal, sounds like a similar kind of product....any comparisons?
  5. Some of the powder coating on my chassis is starting to flake in a few areas, the rest is in good condition - its only a 2011 after all, just wondering if there is anything I can do to touch it up...I don't really want to wait for the day when surface rust has well and truly set in! Andy
  6. Jonathan, Thanks for the reply - the battery is new (couple of months), went with thumb pressure and noted placement of bolts, what is the twisting method? I am assuming it is a straight forward as it sounds! Andy
  7. Just replaced the alternator belt, reading over the battery is 13.1v before turn over 13.4 at idle and 13.8 at few thousand revs - is that about expected? Thanks, Andy
  8. Thanks! Have dropped you a message :-)
  9. Probably a real simple question...but can anyone remember which bolts are for the protection eyebrow on the battery master switch...?? Andy
  10. On the point of aeroscreens, I would for sure, they are easy to take on and off once you get used to it, I got 7 chips in my windscreen at my last track day....it's an extreme and freak example and plenty of people have been just fine, but i would now rather take it out of the equation altogether, plus it feels so much quicker and exciting :-D Helmets, I would get your own..you can wear it home with the aeroscreens then...but no need for overalls, although I wear driving shoes and gloves. Hope that helps :-)
  11. That's interesting, I have as you say 185/60 fronts and 205/60 rears, so I'll try dropping it a bit all round, thanks for the suggestions :-)
  12. Bought 4 off eBay for £7 for mine, well worth it and all OE
  13. 13" for road use and occasional track days, I set them at 20 psi all round for now
  14. Just wondering what pressures anyone with Toyo r888's are running at?
  15. I use this stuff, good oil...no complaints :-)
  16. Yea, checking when warmed up, I have not long done an oil and filter change, so I guess it could partly be because the oil is clean, will try with a clean towel/cloth/tissue that sounds like it may help! Thanks guys
  17. I always seem to take at least 3-4 attempts before working out what the oil levels roughly are on my Rover k, I always find it really hard to read off the dipstick, anyone else have this? Or anyone know of a better/easier way of checking oil levels? Maybe my eyes are just broken :-/
  18. I had a fair bit done by Dave this year, alot of the things you mention were part of my upgrade too, I then also went to kmaps after the upgrade..both experiences were great, the ecu map was great and helped get a bit more out of the mods from Dave although I may switch to an emerald next year...the pops and bangs the map can add in are entirely addictive, I have a sound clip somewhere...pm me if you want and I'll send over.
  19. Some more information and pictures on the eBay post, id still rather sell to someone from the club so will honour the price here. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252605513886
  20. 4 x minilite alloys + Avon ZV3 Tyres - Tyres are in decent condition as are the alloys although showing a couple of small areas where the paint has flaked, could be refurbished easily. Based down in Hertforsdhire, £200 if anyone wants them before going on ebay, feel free to make offers etc. PM me if you want some pictures. Andy
  21. Does anyone have a 421 exhaust for a rover k they are selling? Andy
  22. Just posted on another thread about kmaps - defiantly worth it, and the overrun sound is amazing...I would wait for Dave, think of the money you could save up in that amount of time for even more upgrades!
  23. I went to see Mark around a month back - can recommend it for sure for anyone not wanting to commit the £700 or so for an emerald. For me the instant feeling was the engine and new parts from DVA that were installed a few weeks beforehand all felt so much smoother....had to go for a bit of overrun popping added in to .... In my case I had it done to make the most of what I have at the moment..in the future I will revisit an emerald when some new parts go on in terms of further engine upgrades...but for now I see no reason to...
