  1. MBE ECU from CSR200. Removed and replaced when throttle bodies fitted which required remap. Still original and locked, kept as spare in case needed to change back to standard at any point. Offers? pm if interested Neil
  2. Gradually working through the boxes of bits left over now that the CSR is departed. All bits new, unused, and some boxed / sealed Speedo (Caerbont) EES3-B3206B 71255SMC (boxed) - £150 Steering Column (upper) - £50 Engine Mount (Exhaust Side) - still sealed in bag - £50 Titanium Wing protectors (pair) - £50 Packaging will be on top, but anything can be collected (Wiltshire) Pics can be supplied on request - send pm with e-mail address. Windscreen Stanchions (one pair with mirrors fitted), rubber seals - for Windscreen, bonnet, rear wings etc. to follow. Standard headlamps as well, old rear light units (all replaced by LED units) and probably quite a few other bits that haven't yet been sorted/unearthed. Neil
  3. See pic below now showing DOT age codes, 245s are 2016, 195s are 2015. Tyres purchased from Caterham about the time that the discontinuation of the CR500s was announced.

  12. Wheels in excellent condition - standard 10-spoke Anthracite CSR 15" wheels - 2 x 6.5", 2 x 9.0". Shod with unused CR500s, all stored in cool, dry and dark location to be used as spares to replace existing set. Car sold for licence/health reasons, hence no need to keep spare wheels / tyres. Sold as set

Hi James, Swoopy dash, standard spec, 4-point harnesses etc. Only real change internally has been the starcom installation (so that I can hear the other half!)), additional DIN sockets (for USB etc - use the iPhone for SatNav, standard leather seats. Didn't include any interior pics as it's in the garage, under cover and still not quite up to pulling it out to do a photo shoot. Those pics used were last Summer's, after the wrapping and wings/nosecone repainting etc. Minimal mileage since as I suffered a major CA + skull fractures in early Sept. Then a long story.......... No medical reasons for the ban, just a doctors' 'misinterpretation' of DVLA strictures, which will be unlikely to be overturned as someone would have to admit that they made a mistake.

CSR 200 - 2007 sub-24,000 miles Selling not through any desire to get rid of it, rather through lack of recent use and the fact that for health reasons I now don't have a licence, which might be for life. 5-speed, but not quite standard. Tweaked and geared primarily for healthy road and touring use, it's not designed as a track day tool. Unlike standard CSR200s, it's been upgraded to Jenvey Throttle bodies (fitted by Northampton Motorsports). Guess that it's a bit nearer a 260 than 200. Replacement - hence remapped MBE ECU - again fitted and remapped by Troy in Northampton on their Rolling Road. Delivers 234bhp at 7,000 with a (reasonably) flat torque curve delivering 186lbft at about 6k, with 180ish at about 5k. Serviced by PGM (several times), Zircotech coated exhaust headers to keep engine bay heat down, gearbox check/rebuild (was bit notchy) - done by R&R) and new diff fitted (3.38 fitted rather than standard 3.62 which - checked on RR - gives a 4,000 rev speed in 5th of 92.6mph). No desire to sell it other than the lack of use I can give it. Always garaged and in generally very good all round condition. Bulkhead on rivnuts, new rear wings and stainless chip panels (wrapped clear) as are the front sections of the front wings and nosecone. Unused since last Summer, MOT due in a couple of weeks time. Mileage at last MOT was 23,564, last used in August 2020. Plenty of other (minor) tweaks such as (smaller) suede MotoLita wheel, DIN power sockets (for USB etc. and other aspects that will be seen when viewed, such as rear draught screen fabricated to fit on roll bar, LED (JAL) headlamps and rear lights etc. All practical and useful additional mods. Never had lots of miles put on it as MOT history will show. Always kept cosseted in a garage when not in use. And as seen from above plenty spent on it over the years (since 2014) Few more pics added showing rear, cockpit, draught excluder and LED rear light unit, and the Peltor headsets driven off the Starcom. Sited in Wiltshire, not far from Marlborough.
  15. Drove down through the village this morning - 10:15ish(?). Only fleeting glance so no details. a few around here, hadn't seen this one before. Lockeridge - 3 miles west of Marlborough.
  16. Agreed...... But there have been vague references over the years so probably stuff of legend. And maybe a personally-modded car, several owners down the line thinking it was a factory mod.

Thanks for the advice, I'd seen the old csrinforme mod but wondered if since then anyone had come across anything that didn't require welding of the column - there are quite a few different QR systems around now and maybe one of these could be adaptable without too much modification. I changed the Momo (but using same boss) to a smaller (260mm) thick suede Mota-Lita, great and comfortable wheel which makes getting in/out with hood up a bit easier but not as much as a QR. The standard boss is quite deep and I'm sure it would be possible to fit a QR boss (probably losing the push horn and likely self-cancelling as well) and retain the distance. Maybe one does exist - possibly one that Caterham offered once and have long since dropped, but I haven't found it yet. Keep looking.... Neil
  18. Looked at all sorts of options, haven't found anything that allows a QR wheel / Boss on a Swoopy Dash CSR. Could extend the column but that would bring the wheel too close (closer already than a normal flat dash layout). Has anyone managed to find a viable option? Don't mind losing the centre-push horn, any ideas? Neil
  19. Blue, couldn't make out the model but on a trip down to East Kent passed this Seven twice, once on the way there,and again on the way back. At pretty well the same place. just to the West of Clacket Lane services. Obviously been out for a round of golf, large bag of clubs as passenger - Seven as a golf buggy?
  20. Had the headers done by Zircotec several years ago - matt black. Resilient finish, reduces heat in the engine bay (as expected), expensive, c.£500ish, but worthwhile.
  21. Just replaced all four wings and used this: https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/wunderseal-underbody-sealer 'Paint' it on very thickly, lots of fumes so do it outside but leaves a thick soft coat that will absorb hits from stones.
  22. Good condition - top part used, lower pocket section unused (as new). Now superseded by custom-made rollbar mounted mesh screen. £80 inc. postage (UK)
  23. That's a beautifully explained and very logical solution to a real potential weakness. Couple of questions re. the wedge block: what sort of wood did you use? And do you think that a cut-down rubber jacking block / chock would work? Thanks for sharing this, next project now identified....... Neil
  24. Long pondered on this - thought about creating a titanium sheet 'bash plate' to fit in front which would take any initial impact (with holes for airflow) but never taken it further - yet. Always been a concern, doubly aware to avoid anything in the road in the centre line of the car. Neil
  25. Haven't found anywhere close (I'm near Marlborough) so normally take a trip to PGM in Sussex to do bits of the servicing I can't. Fair distance away but enjoyable drive and they're good. Neil
