  1. 21 cold seems too high to me, maybe 17 or 18 but use that as a starting point and experiment yourself. Once you’re happy use that all the time, always measure with the same gauge too since I doubt every one is made equal. ZZx tyres are bumpy on road, for a more complaint experience, move back to CR500 just like I did. Julian
  2. We exchanged waves, i was in my red Up! Hope you had a nice blat Julian
  3. I still prefer the CR500's even though the ZZx seem to hold on for longer and break away more progressively. I find the more compliant CR500 much better over the bumpy Kent/Sussex "B" roads which is my morning blat stomping ground. On track the ZZx are great but on road ZZR temp falls off quickly after you have been "on it" and then they are [i am] all over the place. I usually get about 6k out of a set of CR500 on road, fronts maybe slightly more than the rears but usually end up changing all at the same time. That's with c.200bhp and set up by Andy at PGM for very fast road and occasional track days. Cheers, Julian
  4. Your car spotted in the car park, I left my [old] L7C membership card on your drivers seat Cheers, Julian
  5. Green although I couldn’t be sure, just joining the B2026 to fly up into the Ashdown Forest. Bloody cold, respect!
  6. Hi,., thats great, do you know if it fits the standard Caterham 4 individual primaries? If so , I will have it. Cheers, Julian
  7. Hi is the exhaust still available, does it include the collector? is it for an S3? cheers, Julian
  8. Mine is [just] less than 1.1kg at cost about £260, its a bit more now though. Antigravity Batteries Julian
  9. Have you tried giving the starter a "tap" with something?
  10. Hi James I suspect it is difficult to generalise about reliability. I drive with mechanical sympathy until up to temperature, then pretty much drive it like it is stolen. My 6 speed, to date, fingers crossed, is fine. A very good friend and all round top bloke, who respects his lovely R400D, had a 6 speed gearbox melt down on a sensible blat last year. My advice is, as long as it has not been raced, and it works nicely, don't worry. Buy it and enjoy, if it needs a rebuild at some point, ces't la vie... Julian ps - 6 speed over 5 every time for me!
  11. As others have said, that's not a VVC. 5W50 fully synthetic Comma Motorsport oil IMO.
  12. Please post a photo of your engine so we can be sure if VVC or not. Oil required does change! Julian
  13. Dougie had probably slowed down because Prangerman couldn't keep up!
  14. From what I have heard [no personal experience] de-specing the suspension down to normal R spec might be worth considering. If it were me, I might even ask if I could give them some Quantums to fit. Unlikely to agree to that one though. Alternatively, just change them when you get the car. Julian
  15. Two up, going north. We exchanged . I was in my red Up! rushing home to get in mine to go to Bredgar Hope you had a good run
