  1. Gavin, Coincidentally I spent yesterday afternoon changing the glass in my windscreen. It's a pretty simple job as long as you are careful and take your time. There are 2 small screws in each of the bottom corners which can be a bit tricky to get out, and you'll need plenty of silicone lubricant to get the seals back in the frame. Louis
  2. Silver with dark nose and bonnet stripe. Heading South on the A1 (near Stamford) at 18:10 tonight.
  3. I have a Peltor system which I've fixed to the tunnel top (forward of the gear lever under the dash). From there it was easy enough to run a power cable forwards to the battery, and the head phone leads back, in the tunnel and out behind the seats. Biggest advantage is it's within reach to turn on/off and adjust driver and passenger volume. If you don't want to fix it to the tunnel top, SBF7 do an elasticated strap.
  4. All, Thanks for your responses. I think I'm going to flick it on every week or two and bring it back up to full charge rather than leave it on constantly. Louis.
  5. Bought myself a ctek mxs 5.0 trickle charger which has been on all afternoon and is showing the battery to now be fully charged. Do people tend to leave them on 24/7 or just turn them on as and when required (i.e. the day before you plan to go out for a blat)? I suspect the former but thought I'd check. Cheers, Louis.
  6. "my other car is a 7" sticker spotted in the rear windscreen of a blue, 15 plate Audi A4 around 16:45 crossing the M1 at junction 24.
  7. Jonathan, yes, preferably, but not if it makes it complicated to install, no. thank you, Louis
  8. I've just bought myself a Peltor FMT120 intercom and an FC16 battery eliminator. To install the battery eliminator is it simply a case of connecting the positive cable to the positive terminal on the battery and the earth cable to the chassis or any bare metal? Any tips on where to mount it and wire it or to make things safer and/or easier would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Louis.
  9. This summer, on the odd occasion when we had some hot days the temps around my feet in my 2012 Supersport got a touch uncomfortable. I bought 2sqm of reflective meat shield mat from car builder solutions, plus the adhesive and lined the pedal box and drivers footwell. I covered as much as I could reach from in the engine bay without removing anything. You can get to just about all of it, and I suspect more if you have an SV. I also bought the carpet set from Caterham, but before fitting it to the transmission tunnel I covered that in heat shield mat (from the cockpit and silver side in). On similiarly hot days, this has kept temps down slightly but don't expect huge drops in temperature. I would recommend the carpets as this does make resting your leg on the tunnel bearable. Next on my list (winter job) is wrapping the manifold as this is right in front of my feet and I suspect the biggest cause of the problem. Hope the above helps. Louis
  10. Would the drivers side not just be a mirror image of the passenger side? If so, just do one template and then turn it over.
  11. Can you see where it's been earthed?
  12. Long shot, but try a good squirt of WD40.
  13. Would the cat need to be re-fitted to pass the MOT?
  14. S3 Tonneau Cover. Caterham Part (£150 new) made from standard black vinyl with central zip. Suitable for standard seats (not Tillets) where the headrests can be removed before fitting. This came with my Supersport when I bought it in January. Looks brand new, and has been stored flat so has no creases in it. I have no use for it, hence its sale. Looking for £80. Unsure how to post pictures but can email if required. Louis.
  15. Spotted. 15 plate Roadsport SV filling up in Clifton, Nottingham this morning around 10am. Loved the colour. Reminded me of my Focus RS!
  16. Would Carbon Mods be interested in a group buy???
  17. My drivers side is outside. Only sat in the passenger side a couple of times so not sure that side but if they're handed I guess that's outside too.
  18. Spotted today at 17:50. Metallic Blue 7 on the A52 Whatton heading towards Nottingham.
  19. I recall you mentioning Willow when we met a Doddington Hall. I'm going to give them a call this week. Who should I ask for? Louis
  20. Anything to report on the wrapping John? Pros/Cons - am thinking of doing the same so interested how the past 6 weeks have been. Louis
  21. I'm pretty convinced that the heat is mainly from the exhaust manifold. I have a 2012 sigma supersport and on a blat out today my feet and lower legs were roasting. By contrast, the misses, sat in the passenger seat said her feet were a little cold. Surely the only real difference can be the exhaust manifold on the drivers side. Whatever, I need to try one of the solutions discussed above. Louis
  22. Spotted on the A50 this morning at 7:30 heading East towards Derby.
  23. Willow in Newark is favourite as it's only about 20 minutes away and I'vd heard good reports about them. Have you used them Gordon? Cheers, Louis
  24. After reading a good few reports on the benefits of flat flooring I'm thinking of getting mine done too. Can any one recommend somewhere in the East Mids area (I live near Grantham) please? I don't mind travelling if needs be but am hoping to avoid a 4/5 hour round trip on motorways if possible. Advice/suggestions/help greatly received. Thank you, Louis.
  25. As subject. Spotted today about 14:15 heading down the hill into Stourport.
