Hi Dom it was me returning from Dunsfold. Ian, I had Alan's SatNav as he had arranged a lift home for himself and his car.
  2. Peter! I've told you before about "honking your horn". Dougie
  3. It was certainly cold! Have fun (in the warmer weather). Doug
  4. Yes, I agree, I would take the same action you did, but... "Whilst we all know that it's technically correct" Not in my experience. One comment on this thread clearly proves my point. I've even been asked by club members "Why do you have your Hi-Viz jacket in the pocket of your tunnel bag?" I agree that the priority is to get out off the car and to a place of safety with the greatest sense of urgency and to be aware of all your surroundings. But the point I was trying to make with my comment "Even if you're not wearing it and it's in your hand, at least there is more chance of other road users seeing you much sooner.” was - If your Hi-Viz jacket is in your hand (probably flapping in the wind) as you exit the car you will be more visible to oncoming traffic than without it. A Hi-Viz jacket is of little or no use lost in the boot of your car. Doug

  8. Hi Andreas, I guess you want the LH/RH Euro brackets like this? http://caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=5023 But if you want the standard UK windscreen mount brackets I have a a pair for sale with mirrors. Doug
  9. Alan, in answer to your question the boot cover is 5 years old but has been rolled in bubble wrap in a box in my (dehumidified) garage for 4 years. I replaced it with a a "low profile" carbon vinyl boot cover (the first one made by Thundesport) after I cut off the the hood sticks and brackets, after discovering what a useless piece of kit the full hood is! Doug
  10. Alan Your mailbox is full so I can't send you pm. Can you delete a few? Doug

"Petrol Suitcase Generator Offering the user a choice of voltage, this extremely quiet generator delivers a three-pin socket output of 230v, plus a 8 ampere 12v dc output which is useful for supplying lighting and supplies to 12v appliances. The generator has an unladen weight of 21kg, making it particularly suitable for campers or market stall holders, as the unit is easily portable through it’s ergonomic design. Having the capacity to hold 4.1 litres of fuel, the machine can deliver up to 10½ hours of power when run under ¼ load conditions. Delivering it’s power through an inverter ensures no peaks or troughs to the supply so delicate digital equipment can be used with confidence. In fact the voltage stability has a tolerance level of just ±1%.« less" This geni has had less than 50 hrs running time. This is a genuine Honda not a Chinese copy and is in "as new condition".
