chrisb
It could be some form of aeroscreen type fitment. The hinge part could possibly have a winscreen attached to it. Thus allowing the windscreen to be folded down onto the bonnet

SimonMac
Is it the trim from an MX5 or Barchetta which hides the soft top when it's stowed away?
Sandy
Hmm, few people at work have suggested that. Not sure the lugs etc on the back lend themselves to that application though? Myles
Is that a strap thing attached to the underside? Looks a bit like a pull-tab - I'd guess that it is some kind of trim panel... Tony Whitley
It's clearly an aerodynamic, carbon-fibre front anti-roll bar. The different stiffnesses are shown by colour and the yellow one is much too stiff for your car. DaveMorris
Looking at it can I see "lugs" or bits of small bore pipe welded to the right hand edge? If so does it fit under the rear of the car on the "rear fog/reversing light" mounting brackets ? Possibly a prototype rear diffuser 🤔 If I'm right can I have it ? 😳 😬 Dave The trouble with life is, you're halfway through it before you realize it's a do-it-yourself thing
