It was done under the safety banner, the power's believe that a biker is more likely to take heed of advice given by a copper riding an R1. I saw it a couple of weeks ago, painted in police colours, but in a sports bike fashion, if you see what I mean. North Yorks also have at least 1 silver Subaru.
