  1. Smart looking Seven metallic blue I think 'snarling' your way towards Hagley/Stourbridge. No roof, and never seen rain like it...you must have got a right soaking. Was on my way back to Sussex in the tin top...rained so much I could only do 45 max on M40 near Warwick. 11am.
  2. Well, found out my insurance covers it except for £60 excess...but feeling brave, and although I have all the finesse of an East German shot-putter, I might just have a go myself 😬...provided of course they can't repair the original. Will avoid the RAC though!!!!
  3. Eeek! Myles/Strongy...was it a relatively easy job???
  4. Thanks for the info Roger...yes there are a couple of cracks radiating from it but I reckon it's worth trying a repair before suffering the cost of a new windscreen. Guess I need to check out my insurance details
  5. Nick, thanks . Must have been lucky but I've never had it happen before.
  6. Oh bother! Just got one in the middle of the screen about 1cm, and I have a feeling this is a possible MOT failure point??? Has anyone out there ever used any windscreen repair people who mend the chips rather than getting the whole screen replaced? Would appreciate any comments...
  7. Wonder how long it will be before we see the motorcycle boys whizzing along on an R1? Now that would be a funny sight...wonder where their flashing blue bobble would go?
  8. Maybe they've developed inflatable cones...suspect you couldn't get much more in the back of an Evo. May aswell get a CSR thingy
  9. ...but this was a silver unmarked patrol car...pulled a BMW over ! That's serious stuff I think.
  10. About 10.30am. '???? GTA' I was in a silver Beetle quite a way behind you...heading for Gatwick...think I spotted a cartoon cat sticker on the back of yours, but not sure as you weren't hanging around. 😬
  11. L666 ??? 9.30am at Texaco garage, Pound Hill area - filling up. Green with yellow stripe (I think). Passed you in my tintop I'm afraid. Hope you didn't get too wet later on!!!
  12. It happened to me a few years back (on a tin top) and I found out in the end that the rim was excessively rough, so air was escaping. Admittedly the wheels on my car were old and knackered, but it might be worth checking though.
