Myles
Can anyone measure the length of the standard-track front braided brake hoses for a recentish 7? I need the hose-length (obviously) - not just the distance between the body-panel and the nipple on the calliper... Also - while we're at it - anyone know if the body-end hose fitting is of a specific type - any particular thread/connection/whatever??? Thanks and regds, Myles Project Scope-Creep is live... Myles
Thanks for looking Alex. I'm guessing that there probably isn't too much difference for WT - it's only 2" wider overall, isn't it? caterhamnut
Mine is 'standard' track - I guess for ease of part numbers the braided bit is the same wide or standard - though mine is actually the pipe I got with my Alcon brakes - one part fits all I guess. John Vine
Myles, I have my original hoses (1999, standard track, standard brakes) in front of me: Hose length (excluding fittings): 257mm Including caliper banjo: 274mm Including banjo and inner threaded connector: 302mm JV
Myles
Thanks John, Perhaps they lengthened them when WT came out - no matter, the difference isn't that significant (better long than short)... John Vine
Myles, They did. In fact, I now have three sets of front hoses: Standard track, standard brakes (in the "spares" bin) Standard track, CC 4-pot (ditto) Wide track, CC 4-pot (on the car) If you want, I can measure the last two for you. Myles
My order is in, so I'll have to suck the 350s and see... Should be fine. Project Scope-Creep is live... Alcester Racing 7's Equipe - 🙆🏻™ Alcester-Racing-Sevens.com
