XFLOW SUMP

I am in the process of converting my x-flow to dry sump, I will have a Caterham supersprint steel sump pan available in the near future, how desperate are you for it, it could be a couple of weeks?

The sump pan is in good nick, with extra reinforcement welded to the underside - no leaks!

Another crossflow sump bites the dust ! (or the rock)

I am now on to my third sump in three years, it seams to me that the natural reaction when you see a rock in the road is to aim it down the middle of the car, wrong !! Crunch...Bag...Wallop mad.gif

How common is sump pan replacement on crossflows or come to that K's, any ideas ?

I suspect that my sump was the original one judging by the amount of battering it had taken, so it could be ten years old !

It finally gave way after a stone hit it and pushed it in just far enough for one of the welds to give way.

I've bought a new one, if this one goes I'll look to get it re-enforced ??

Dave.
