wild bill
I know there have been questions posed about noise reduction for trackdays so in case this helps heres a link http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/catalogue/search.asp?CLS=MSPORT&keyword=supertrap&submitButtonName=Go Called a supertrap and they bring noise down to below 100 db if your borderline
MonkeyBoy
I bought one of these but found it very difficult to fix on to my XFlow straight through exhaust (it has a lip on the end). It didn't seem to clamp on at all. I did just about manage to get it mounted and it did reduce the noise (to the detrement of power) but when i drove down the road it blew off 😳 I think my exhaust is more than borderline anyway so i've decided just to buy a new exhaust and be done with it!Any excuse to upgrade 😬 Alistair
Archie Procter
There are a number of threads in the archives about supertrapps and the effect they have on noise, power etc. Do a search on "supertrapp" from the beginning and you'll find all the info you could ever need. After careful consideration I concluded I didn't want one for my 2.0VX and bought a Raceco silencer. That got me into all the noise-policed tracks. Gary-Cornwall
Andrew, I'm running the Vaux and thinking about the raceco. What did you go for and what were the costs / service / wait time etc please? thanks Gary
