clarkey
I'm looking for a pair of R500 seats, preferably carbon but fibre glass would be OK. Does anyone have any spares??? Thanks.
clarkey
I thought it may have been unlikely..........
domster
£225 plus VAT each from Caterham Parts in glassfibre may be your only option... Or you could go for W***field ones if they fit... their high back race seat in vinyl is good looking and around the same price, or you could go for glassfibe for about £180 each. clarkey
Over £200 each is a lot of difference - I know the carbon ones look sexier, but how much lighter are they? Are there any other benefits to justify the cash??
FH
kudosid=brown> teeth.gif Actually, they are surprisingly comfortable, even for fat bum.gif 's like us blush.gif But if you share the driving seat with someone else on a regular basis, it's a complete pain to adjust the lap part of the F-H mad.gif FH wink.gif Edited by - fullharness on 29 Aug 2001 15:10:
clarkey
So when did you see mine then???? I guess the CF is no more comfortable than composite though....so kudos is the main benefit?
domster
Has anyone ever done the moulded seat thingy - you know, expanded foam to form a bucket seat around your boney or not-so-boney posterior? Demon Thieves sell them for a fair few quid, you sit on a placcy bag for a few mins then add the hardener. If you have a really fat ar5e then you could probably do two seats out of one 'sitting' as there won't be so many gaps in the Caterham tub to fill!
