Hibster.
I would recommend Araldite, Blu-Tak and some stout string but then what do I know Parp Paul 😬 Supercheese R250
Gay7
Funny you should say that - just found the exact same problem myself at the weekend. I'm planning on just replacing it, though. I don't trust my welding skills....

Gay7
Just got an email from Simon Lambert. Seems Caterham think this is caused by loose damper bolts, stressing the tube....
Delbert
So a sheddly nut tightening is required..... Oh Mr Mav sir Hello..... < Wafts smell of fresh pie into the shed> < drools> < pats tummy and tinks that I'm a big boy now maybe I'll tighten my own nuts> When you realise the worlds not nice just drop your pants and slide on the ice!!! anon7
Pulled mine in bits today and the mounting bolts were bloody tight ............. on closer inspection the failure`s not at the weld but the actual metal of the tube itself, about half way round, didn`t fancy the idea of welding all that and the other side`s weld was looking very "iffy" with the start of a crack appearing in that side. Glad I hadn`t been giving it lots when it went though, quite a frightening thought ......... In space no one can hear you scream.....In a seven no one can smell your bottom ! It`s not yours,it`s............. R7 NOW
