I have standard bilstein set up on a supersport and am looking to upgrade.

In your opinion should i go for CC adjustable platforms and race spring set 250lb

front 215lb rears or go for the freestyle adjustable spring damper sets any views

gratefully received.

Did the same Paul - very very happy with Freestyle adjustable dampers that I fitted. Saved a large amount of dosh, and you get a lot of 'free' advice from Gary and Len before AND after purchase. I got the steel dampers, they do ali ones which obviously cost more. I like the fact that I can knock the dampers down to soft for jiggly country lanes, or the wet, then back up for smooth track.

I am going to play with spring rates later, on the basis that springs are (relatively) cheap to source later on. There are some pics and thoughts on my website - link below.

Hope that helps - to be honest you probably can't go wrong with either choice but big *thumbup* for the Freestyle solution.

What do you want to achieve with your upgrade? It's important to decide before you spend any money.

Do you want :

More grip -- suggest tyres

Faster lap times -- suggest a race setup specialist

More fun -- suggest crap tyres

Less work at the wheel -- suggest flat floor setup

Freestyle can't be recommended highly enough, whether your a road, track or race 'sevener' Gary built the JPE's whilst working for Caterham and is very fussy about getting things right as is Len and also rund Juno race preperation. The depth of knowledge can go way beyond even those with a lot of experience with 7's and the knowledge is matched by the service.

If you have a car that's seen a lot of road and is less than new there can't be better people to take it to I have no doubt they could have it handling better than when it was new.

ps I have no links with them other than a happy customer *thumbup*

Adjust platforms are good, as you can set ride height and have the car flat floored.

As for adj damping, had them on my last car, and to be honest once they were set, I didn't bother touching them again. I would expect not many people dive out of their cars to adjust the damping rates if going down jiggly roads *cool*
