Measurement required

2003, 1.8 K-Series

 

If anyone has their engine out or can otherwise give me the dimensions of the clutch release arm - the one in the bellhousing, I'd be very grateful.

 

Measured in a straight line:-

 

1. Pivot to cable attachment.

 

2. Pivot to CRB attachment.

Tony,

Assuming you have the standard Ford Sierra actuating arm, the dimensions (to the nearest mm or so) are:

 

1. 280mm

2. 110mm

 

It sounds as though you're doing a mechanical advantage calculation (to do with pre-load, no doubt)?

It looks like my estimate from poking a flexible rule in through the hole in the top of the bellhousing wasn't too far out - thanks for the accurate measurement John 😬
