Spring compressor - anyone local?

Big Brother

Recommended Posts

I need to use/borrow a spring compressor to refit the (freshly powdercoated) springs to a pair of Spax shocks.

These are not adjustable shocks and the springs have pretty tight coils.

Redline said they would fit if I pop them in.

Just wondered if anyone closer to home may be able to help.

Seems like your sorted *thumbup* 🤔

Else Redline being 45 minutes is shorter than a trip to Bournemouth.

But if all else fails you are welcome. *smile*

email me if you require them:

Thanks for looking Steve,

We used 3 ratchet straps to get the old springs off and it wasn't easy.

The coils of the spring are so close together that we couldn't use the hooks on the end of the ratchet straps. Also, undoing the straps afterwards was "interesting" *wink*

Soupy,

Many thanks for the offer *thumbup* *thumbup* *thumbup*

I guess Redline will be quicker/closer as I need to get the springs fitted ASAP.

Problem with Redline is that I always end up buying something....They've just got tooooo many goodies on the shelves!

Cheers all
