Steveh7
Just a quick one , the cars on the road now and is garaged and has never been out with the hood off in the rain yet (I'm sure its just a matter of time). The dials are misting up as the car warms up so they obviously have moisture caught in them (All of them). Basically is this to be expected or should I persue the waranty, will they over time stop working as electrics and water are not the best of friends. Graham Sewell
They all do that sir! There are a few workarounds - including cutting slots in the bottom of the dials - but as long as I can see speed and revs, I do not get to bothered by it. Mine are now 24,000 miles old and still work normally. Low tech luddite - xflow and proud! Chickenhawk
And I thought it was just mine that did that!....Another smart design feature - self misting guages!
Chris W
Stevo I had a new SV almost a year ago and my dials do the same so, even on recent 7's, CC haven't cured the problem. Chris 2003 1.8K SV 140hp see it here

Frying Pan
As Paul said, there is a FAQ on this which involves drilling a hole in the dial. I ssem to remember a posting that someone did this and ended up with plastic swarf in the betweent he galls and the dial ☹️ See some pictures of the build here. Now had my first drive (19/12/03 17.10)!
