mav
GFE numbers are redundant at Rover dealers since they changed parts suppliet to Catapiller. The correct P/n for a rover oil filter is as described above - LPW100180
Fred
Thanks Martin i purchest 6 to day at my local rover deler ar £1.70 each . Allen the rover guy told me they had problems with the 405 so i am not sure it is safe to use, he stated the workshop would not use them 🤔 .i must admit i don't like the way the 100 180 goes on it feels slack on the threads until the last few threads.but he stated it was the right one . Lets hope so going to get drunk now and start trouble in the test area 😬 Edited by - Fred on 3 Oct 2003 21:13:
mav
Fred - They are loose right up to the last few threads- I've had 3 on the car in the last 12 months (due to oil changes) and they have been top notch - no problems!!. Recently purchased 2 for £4.00 total inc vat from the rover part supplier down here in Chester
