Harry Flatters Posted September 25, 2003 Share Posted September 25, 2003 Caterham Motorsport have just concluded an arrangement with the owners of Dunsfold (where they film Top Gear!) to hold their special slalom events (similar to those held at Brooklands this year) and have offered one of the very first available dates to the L7CGB . For those of you not familiar with these fun days, you get the chance to explore the handling and performance of a Caterham 7 without having to own one . Test your car control around various slalom courses at venues such as Dunsfold Park, Silverstone and Brands Hatch. You will drive Caterhams own cars specially prepared for the day by Team Parker Racing 😬 There are 30 places allocated at a cost of £110 each (including a light lunch) for an entire day of Sevening heaven - bargain . Prizes will be awarded for the fastest times and there will also be a special award for the winning team. The event will run on Monday 20th October. Expect it will be about 4 to 5 cars for the 30 people? Is it an option if we want to run our own car? Will there be a Caterham saleperson passenger in the car at all times? Harry Flatters Posted September 26, 2003 Author Share Posted September 26, 2003 And then there were FOUR Mark, the 30 drivers are divided up into 5 teams, we run 3 cars and the day is made up of (up to) 4 very different slalom courses which all finish by doing a donut and parking the car in a cone 'garage'. The cars are supplied and run by Team Parker Racing and therefore use of your own car is not an option. There are no additional costs for fuel or trackday insurance. I have never been aware of any Caterham salesperson in the car with me or anyone else.
