2L vx what anti roll bar size ?

Another question from this particular novice;

my 93 standard vx has a 3/4" front anti-roll bar, I didn't even know they came in different sizes but the man at the parts desk at Caterham informed me that they do, apparently 1/2" = orange, 5/8"=red,3/4" = yellow. Well I was ordering blind and when told they don't really wear and knowing my yellow part was loose around the bar ordered the 5/8" part - which is wrong.

Enough of the story, the man at the parts counter told me that 3/4" is too large and they only made it for a short while.

I do occasional track days and don't mind the ride at the moment, but what's the verdict out there - stay with 3/4 or reduce?

Otherwise 1/2" is a good all round bar.

 

The stiff front bars on early VX's is half the reason they have rep for understeer.

Len - sorry but I ordered the Caterham 1/2" this time (£33 plus fitting), a little more sales patter and maybe next time!

Perhaps on the next track day I might be able to go round corners a bit better !
