Just a sig test, really, don't bother taking a peek, it's not worth it, honestly . . .

The problem was occuring because post_infoSQL needs to have the url of the original thread so that after posting a reply it can send you back there to see what you have posted.

So the code looks something like this:

When I swapped the 'refer' and 'topic_title' fields around, the submit button disappeared, which would have solved the problem in this instance, but isn't good practice *wink*. So the extra single quote is forcing an error in the subsequent field. As a workaround, I've inserted a dummy input field after the 'topic_title' field, you can see this if you do a view/source at the page where you type your replies.

Tonight, when it's slightly quieter, I'll htmlencode the 'topic_title' field, and that should fix it.

Thanks for your patience

Sorry sir, I didn't mean to knacker the workings.

while I'm on, the reason I started this thread was because my sig had been truncated so I had to edit it somewhat (lose some of the colours etc.)

Was that a deliberate bit of tuning or was I just unlucky?

I ask you, a simple sig test with a boredom warning and five pages later *wink*
