Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted May 10, 2003 Leadership Team Share Posted May 10, 2003 I have nice shiney new front wings, but looking at them closely one edge is shaped quite straight, and the other has a gentle curve. This is the same with both wings. Which edge goes to the front? Stu.
Grim Reaper
The leading edge? Mine looked the same whichever way you looked at them.
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted May 11, 2003 Author Leadership Team Share Posted May 11, 2003 I was convinced there was something different about the edges, so I got a ruler out. Definately from the same tooling, but definately different at each end. All you SL & SLR owners can now go running into the garage - somebody's going to be upset Stu. Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted May 11, 2003 Author Leadership Team Share Posted May 11, 2003 Caterham have used a number of suppliers - could be there's some difference out there? Stu.
Peter T
Yes that is quite possible! I had an old new carbon front wing, went to caterhams to buy another, only to find that they had indeed changed supplier, both wings were completely different! On The Starting Blocks! Gary G
Both the front CF wings on my 1999 SL are "reversible" i.e. same edges either end.
