Dan R
Do you have any markings on the under side of yours? I am trying to identify mine which externally looks similar, but have some markings underneath that read 'PA66-GF30'
Mark Gregory
PA66-GF30 is the material spec. PA66 is PolyAmide66 (aka nylon 66), GF30 is 30% Glass Filled.
Dan R
Thanks for the material info, i hadn't considered that it could have been that! I am aware that there are various different caps rated by pressure so was looking to see if i could identify a suitable replacement

Dan R
That's really useful, thank you. Are we to assume that CC have just used the same cap on both K series and Durance cars ?
SM25T
This was for k-series. No idea about Duratec.
Iamscotticus
Saw it on Rimmer Bros. https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-PCD100160P Engine doesn't matter. Cap goes with bottle. CC used whatever fit the car and the pressure is within range. CC also used the Rover 600 tank https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-PCF010103 uses same cap. Dan R
This is excellent info. Thank you. It does seem that the bottle in mine is Rover 600 one as in the link. So, £2.58 for the cap from Rimmers and £15 from CC !
Mechanical Moz
Beware the cheap aftermarket caps do not have a great reputation. Many reports across different applications of them leaking/not holding pressure. https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/expansion-tank-cap-rover-200-400-600-25-45-zr-zs-premium-quality-oem-available

RB offers OEM but not in stock. It may be worth asking CC parts if the cap they sell is OEM.
Iamscotticus
Since we're on the Rover cap topic, does anyone know the pressure rating for that one? Its one of the few caps that doesn't have the pressure rating on the top. Edited January 15 by Iamscotticus
SM25T
Googling it, Autodoc suggest it is 1.2 bar
Dan R
Ive just ordered an OEM cap from here - https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/expansion-tank-cap-rover-200-400-600-25-45-zr-zs-premium-quality-oem-available
Iamscotticus
I emailed Disc. MG Rover Spares about the cap. Response was it is a low Bar, about 14 Psi.
Dan R
i wonder if that means the CC ones are the same?
